I managed to get myself a pretty darn near perfect graflex 3 cell on ebay, had to buy the whole Graflex Speed Graphic Camera set, but I'm having it checked for working condition and going to post it again, the seller did not guarantee it would be working, so if everything goes smooth I'm getting my full investment back. It has the first version Glass-Eye which from far is not very noticeable and still has black color on the GRAFLEX stamping on the clamp , I'm kind of feeling doubtful about modifying such a nice piece, much easier to feel less attached to a reproduction. Still have to wait till October to get the Ver 2.0 Graflex from Parks, but I have a feeling it will not be satisfying for someone looking for a Movie Prop, too many deviations from the original.

Those hands taking the G R A F L E X and also the garments look more to belong to Princess Leia

I would SO love those hands to belong to a 59 year old Carrie Fisher, but I just can't see it.

Man I was so waiting the Full trailer on yesterday´s Comic-Con, but I was satisfied by what was given, and I think we can finally confirm this one, the outfit and the ring.

Is it a Kobold D ring on the bottom ??

Going back through the Teaser in 1080p HD The only thing I can say is it is definitely a Kobold, you can see two rivets, but they are somewhat apart than what we are used to from ESB.



Circuit Board I can only tell some golden stripes like ESB version also; Rivets on Grips?? seems like it by the shine it is showing.



Those are my best bets, will have to wait till Fall for the full Trailer :cry

Since this prop was sourced from a member of this forum, could we find out specifically which model(s) were used? ...Folmer, straight pins, serialized etc...

They probably bought several and weren't fussy about the versions, given the availability thesedays. I'd laugh if they ended up with a parks or something (I'm already laughing wondering if they used a denix for han's blaster :lol, keep an eye out for that hammer on the big screen!)

They most certainly did not end up with a Parks ... that's 100% for sure ... however which variations of the G R A F L E X flashguns were purchased remain a mystery ... for now

I want build this saber to take to the premier. I like the ANH, but can't stand 7 grips. I like the ESB, but can't stand the second red button. This saber combines the best, in my opinion, features of both sabers.

Last weekend I acquired a "New York" flash with the straight pins and incorrect button from an antique shop. Right now I'm debating on acquiring the correct button (who's got one?), or swapping the whole unit for a cleaner newer one.

I've got a near pristine one juuuuust waiting for those first definitive pics of what they did with the version of the graflex in Force Awakens.

Can't wait.

and when I see a red button go up on ebay for over 100 bucks, I'm glad I kept mine around.

It has rust and corrosion in a few places. The threads for the clamp lever were so bad that it was seized up. I went to work on it last night with some WD-40 and a scotch brite pad. Don't worry, I scrubbed lightly, and only in the affected areas. I was able to carefully wiggle the clamp lever free with vise grips, and unscrew it. It turned out real nice! I'll post pictures after I put it back together. I don't want it pristine, I like the used look, but I don't want rust and grime flaking off it when handled.

I'll likely opt for a reproduction red button to bring this up to spec. Who's got the best? ...or who wants to get rid of a real one?

I agree the same, hated the 2nd Red Button and the Glass eye gives it a more original look. But I have to say it does look a little funny with ESB grips and ANH glas eye.

I seem like those advertisement Pop-ups but I don't get tired of recommending Turtle Wax Chrome Polish and Rust remover, has work great with my old flashes in removing rust and dark spots, I have a very damaged Graflex top body and clamp that i'm going to take pictures of the rust and scratches and show how good it will get, (IF everything goes as expected that is).

I have to say parks is the only one selling good quality copies of the Red button and Glass Eye, the only downside is they are very chromed, so they are not vintage looking, everyone else is selling screw versions for EL lightsabers. :wacko. I remember 10 years ago everybody sold very nice replica parts. You can start by selling the one you have and get some good money to buy the right one.
