‘Terminator’ Anime Series in the Works With ‘The Batman’ Co-Writer Mattson Tomlin

Netflix and Skydance have teamed up with Japan's Production I.G to produce the animated series.

Cautiously optimistic. They shouldn't bother with any more movies, so animation makes sense.

Hard to make anything in the Terminator world considering T2 definitely solved everything. Hell, they've been remaking T2 for almost 30 years now.

Love the original Terminator and enjoyed T2. High hopes, low expectations. Maybe they'll use the animation factor to their advantage to do something with Terminator we haven't really seen.

I feel like the terminator series is best served by animatrix style stories; similar to the couple animated shorts that came out in conjunction with blade runner 2049.

nothing meant to progress the story, just fill in cracks, and tell other stories in the same settings.

I want to see the future war, I don't care if we already know the outcome. Build me a cast of characters that I can get attached to and then be sad when they all die

As long as they treat it dark, then I'd be okay with it. I mean dark like Wicked City, or the Nightmare sequence in Robot Carnival. Or even the anime prequel to Blade Runner 2049 I'd be happy with.
