re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)
Hell yeah :thumbsup I really don't get why Cameron doesn't do a REAL sequel for T2 now that he's gotten really good at the whole 3D thing.
Cameron said he told the complete story with Terminator 2 and there was no reason to do more. I don't have the direct quote, or when/where he said that. I took it as a very conceited comment. I also read somewhere, again, I don't have a link, that T3 was really a rejected T2 concept. Cameron felt that it was too cliche to have a female come back and be the baddy. Cameron also felt that the T-1000 was the ultimate Sky Net technology.
In any case, I always did, and still feel, we should have a Terminator sequel that focused on the actual future war. The stuff that briefly given to us in short scenes in the first three Terminator movies. I don't think that TS did much in that area of the story. T3 left off right where I thought would be a good jumping on point for the war story. It could be done as well as the Aliens movie was done with USCM versus the Aliens.
I read the TS novel that was released before TS came out, and that would have made for a cool movie, better than TS was.
Wasn't Gale Anne Hurd involved with T:TSCC? I read (I should keep track of where I read stuff) that she was interested in more Terminator projects.
Ahh, maybe I'm just dreaming this up. I just like the Terminator story a lot. With more and more advances in our real worlld with robotics, computers, remotely piloted vehicles, etc. the scenario has almost become pretty believable.
