Terminator: Genisys

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

And Steroids. Many credit his success in bodybuilding with his knowledge of steroids.

I've seen pics of 70 year olds with huge muscles and they admit to steroids.

Stallone is into Growth Hormone. It gave him that bloated appearance.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

I heard that Arnie and the guy who played the t-1000 are back and thought to be playing scientists =/ anyone else heard anything like that?

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

I heard that as well, and I really hope it isn't true-- I don't care why the terminator looks like Arnold- he just does. That's it. When these movies start getting too detailed about stupid thinks the movie franchise starts to go south. I want to see Arnold as THE TERMINATOR and nothing else in a Terminator movie

I don't want to see old Arnold as a terminator. Sorry, but that train's left long ago. Only reason to bring those two actors back would be for other roles. Trying to cram them into the movie as terminators with crutches... sorry... just doesn't work and would feel like lazy hollywood at their typical worst.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

I totally get where you're coming from-- but in T3 he looked fine, and according to recent behind the scenes from Expendables 2, he looks pretty much the same. I'd say he's got one left in him and that'll be that

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

I doubt Arnold would "Juice" now but ya never know.

He has had some BIG health issues in the past just from using them. and in the early 90's went on a crusade to get the info out there to young Bodybuilders, I know as he was always telling me "Don't do it it's not worth it in the end"

That being said he can still get in shape as he does have the drive discipline and knowledge, just not Olympia roided shape as he used to.

And I didn't buy him one bit as a terminator in the third one. Just too old.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

I'm hoping for a much better movie too my friend. If I can get a DARK terminator in the same vein as the first 2, I'll be happy. And that's with or without Arnold to be honest!

Well.... just off the top of my head

Certainly darker than 3 at least :lol

Just playing with you BTW, I'm not being a troll :)

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

Never thought you were. But that's not dark. That's just standard action movie fare with little twists of comedy. The beginning of what was to come with the following movies and series.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

Was T2 rated R in the States back then? I think it was rated AA (14+ years) up here.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

It's about Connor, not the Terminator, not some other guy played by some other guy. It's Sarahs and Johns story.

T1 had more exciting action with old cars and a factory than all the cgi toys in T4. Because it had a Story.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

In my opinion the olny one who can truely do it right would be Cameron, but all they real have to do is go back and look at the first 2 films and start from there 3 was crap anyway and Salvation's war, what war ? It make you wonder if they even watch the first 2 ? Back to the core story line insted of trying to get cheap laughs and sell Tshirts.. Give me the Terminator back...

Hell yeah :thumbsup I really don't get why Cameron doesn't do a REAL sequel for T2 now that he's gotten really good at the whole 3D thing.

T2-3D ride... years later he made Avatar in 3D, so it would be pretty darn logical to do another 3D Terminator and highly profitable :love

and NO cheesy comedy

Well that's not entirely correct is it. I mean what about stuff like Terminator grabs the pay-phone dude and he says "Hey, man you've got a serious attitude problem". :lol or "Hey, buddy. You got a dead cat in there, or what?". Not to mention the whole "Get out" situation :lol

Unlike T3 where they have a awful joke every 3-4 minutes.

I thought Skynet knew about him in Salvation

Hahaha... :lol

Yeah, another reason why the sequels suck.

That's what happens when you hire a writer who hasn't seen the first two films.

but suffered from a laughable green lighted script, bad director and casting not to mention horrid cinematography.

generic crap music, idiotic designs, GOD awful CGI... in reality it shouldn't even be called "Terminator".

I WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

Me too :) that is what Kyle described to Sarah, so that is what we should get to see. With Jim Cameron's H-K's and not those frakking Transformer "Terminators" from Salvation or T3.

Reboot effing Terminator?

I can't take it anymore.
Nuke Hollywood from orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

+1 Yeah, what Ripley said.

Cameron said he told the complete story with Terminator 2 and there was no reason to do more. I don't have the direct quote, or when/where he said that. I took it as a very conceited comment. I also read somewhere, again, I don't have a link, that T3 was really a rejected T2 concept. Cameron felt that it was too cliche to have a female come back and be the baddy. Cameron also felt that the T-1000 was the ultimate Sky Net technology.

In any case, I always did, and still feel, we should have a Terminator sequel that focused on the actual future war. The stuff that briefly given to us in short scenes in the first three Terminator movies. I don't think that TS did much in that area of the story. T3 left off right where I thought would be a good jumping on point for the war story. It could be done as well as the Aliens movie was done with USCM versus the Aliens.

I read the TS novel that was released before TS came out, and that would have made for a cool movie, better than TS was.

Wasn't Gale Anne Hurd involved with T:TSCC? I read (I should keep track of where I read stuff) that she was interested in more Terminator projects.

Ahh, maybe I'm just dreaming this up. I just like the Terminator story a lot. With more and more advances in our real worlld with robotics, computers, remotely piloted vehicles, etc. the scenario has almost become pretty believable.

re: Terminator 5 (Reboot)

For all you people who are talking about Arnold being too old,
Try and think along these lines...

Cgi and Performance capture.

Arnold performs and speaks (a la Avatar)
Then a hunk of AMD chips spit out
A nice shiny 33 year old Arnold.

Simple.
