Wow really?
I thought it was new just because there were like five posts

And no, i also talked about making a kit and the MFX sonic
Which is THE PERFECT REPLICA

I would like to see more posts

The MFX is not a 'Perfect' replica...although was used on the 50th special.

TWCs is one of the most accurate designs you will find as it's laser copied from an actual one, including the crackle pattern.

There are a couple other versions around as well that negate the idea of kitting out the MFX at all.

If you do some reading on other sonic screwdriver threads you will learn all you need.

Also, how many posts a thread has on it, in no way suggests it needs more. This thread was started in 2008 and noninterest made it fade away. It happens.

Well, that will take my mind off the mfx

I was thinking,
There MIGHT be a way to replicate the crackle pattern with paint

If you laid something on (over the first coat) that could be peeled off
(I heard someone use that for an iron man helmet to weather it)
That could enable you to het the cracks without using a random process

Another cosplay idea
Is making a screen accurate one but then making a switch at the bottom activated by twisting the cap, to turn on the sound effect
And tadaaaa
You have a screen accurate and idealised prop all in one

I took some time to look around the forum for a bit,
I saw this one thread where there was a TWC and MFX being compared
generally the conclusion was that the TWC is a generally nicer prop
because it was (a) durable (b) very accurate if not 100% (c) it did more than just make a sound and light up (it can even turn on ipads by waving the magnet over the volume control (because the cover has a magnet that when taken off, will turn on the ipad and (d) is the only accurate prop available today (all others are sold out completely) today it is either this or the CO sonic
