Need help with rewiring a 14th doctor sonic toy to add petal lights

I'm in the process of making my own 14th sonic replica and I'm trying to add more leds on the ends of the petals but I have very little knowledge of electronics. I tried replacing the batteries to increase the voltage but it still doesn't seem to work. any help would be appreciated!

First, you really need at least 3.2 volts for white and blue leds and usually 3.5 to 5 volts for Neopixals, that button cell only delivers 3.0 volts. I also I'm not sure how you have the battery hooked up now. Can you take a good picture of the otherside

Also, what did the toy do originally and what was the battery used in the toy?

This is a showcase of the toy
the original battery setup was 3 LR44 batteries which I replaced with 3 12v 27a batteries
