Temuera Morrison Sculpt (Jango/Clones) WIP

Thanks guys!
This was my "study" sculpt where I practiced techniques on texture and different sculpting methods. I really don't know why I waited so long to put it in rubber, but he's in there now ;)
Hopefully it survives the molding process, since I can't wait to get him finally painted up and displayed.

Thanks again!
I'm so happy and relieved that my mold came out nicely.
The bad part was that when I removed the mold from the sculpt, all the primer stuck to the mold, which I had to clean for about an hour:angry.
The first cast still had a lot of traces of the primer, but the surface is awesome. The second cast came out very clean with only a few specs of primer here and there.
Although I had to split the mold down the back, there is very little traces of where I cut it.
Anyway, here are the pics (or it didn't happen:lol):

Thanks Trap Joe!

The translucent resin came out well, except for some air pockets on the hair part, which is going to be black anyway.

Can't wait to paint this up :D

Thanks guys! This is one of those projects that I'm especially fond of since it is the first Human portrait sculpture I've ever done.

zorg - The resin is Smooth-on 325 with flesh tint. After 4-5 layers, I backed it with flesh tinted roto just to get some undertones. Up close it looks like a wax cast.

trully amazing work. If you ever decide to put one up for sale I would get this in a heart beat. My fiance and myself love Tem and his work. Just finished "once we were warriors."

I really cant wait to see what you do with this.

Thanks guys and yes I feel the same way. . .finally!

I tried to make a slightly darker fleshtone cast, I thought I went a bit too dark, but it's actually growing on me and it may work out better than the pinkish fleshtone. I'm pretty sure once the mottling and some brownish/ yellowish tones are painted it will make it lifelike.

Anyway, here it is with a size comparison to an Arnold bust I got from another member here as well as with an MS Boba helmet on.

I'll try to paint one of these up this weekend and install glass eyes on it.

Thanks again guys! Can't wait to paint him up, but I'm working two jobs this month, so he'll have to wait for the weekend.

I remember watching this years ago...:)

It really turned out nice. From what I've heard that translucent resin is really lifelike? A cheaper alternative to silicone?

I would think this bust would be so cool with a life-size stormtrooper, clonetrooper, Jango or Boba. I'm kinda surprised it hasn't gotten more love. :love

thanks for sharing
