TDKR Catwoman Mask 2.0

Greg has done an AMAZING work :))

By the way, does anybody know what kind of material the rest of her costume is made of? (especially the top with the pattern).

This is looking awesome!

As far as the goggles go.. something has been bothering me when looking for reference pics. From what I can see, the outer corners have jeweler's loupes + LEDs. But, how does she see through the loupes? Do they come off, or swing down to her line of sight? Only saw the movie once, and it wasn't a costume viewing. Everything on her suit is supposed to be functional, and aside from the obvious benefit of a light source I can't figure out how the loupes fit in.

Figured this was the best thread to discuss in ;)

the loupes stay at the corners of her goggles and i would assume, rotate into view when needed to assess her goods.

heres another pic i got from that mag:

anyone think they shouldve used eyeblack? or does the eyeliner lend more to her sex appeal

do you mean copper? For some reason my camera is making them look yellower, they are the right color in person.

Hmmm, I just noticed that your mask is larger then the official pictures. Too much on the top part and slightly too much on the bottom part. The eyes have also a bit too much space. Anybody agrees?

By all means, your mask is FANTASTIC Greg, but these are the flaws that I see. Will you make mask 3.0? :O

i concur with the top part having too much material, but the bottom section and the eye holes are just a matter of who you're moulding it on. in the pic i posted above, you can just about draw a horizontal line across the bottom of the mask and the nose/cheek pieces will line up. that being said, if he were to resculpt, taking the lower half including the bottom of the eyehole up a few millimeters and straightening the bottom out would improve it alot. we could make a much better analysis if we had a full frontal shot of the hero and the sculpt and put them on a mm grid to compare proportion, but as I said, its been sculpted on a different person so it wont be perfect.

Hey everyone,

thanks for the support and the constructive criticism

I just want to say

I am very happy with the mask and while there is always room for improvement in any sculpt, or art for that matter, I could sculpt till the end of time and still never have it 100% like the original, no one could unless they molded and original or did a 3d print of an original file.

Please keep in mind proportions of an average female's head as well. Things like the eye holes, etc tend to seem bigger on a mannequin head which is very small.

I am trying not to be hypersensitive, but I find asking for another sculpt a tad insulting unless the person is the commissioner.

Thanks guys
Greg
