Greg, can you please take a photo of you wearing the mask and looking straight? Maybe it's because of the modelhead that causes the differences.
I concur, mask is pretty awesome, perhaps lightning (camera settings) do not makes it look as awesome as some can really find it. I personally thinks is a great model, everything else is just details that do not make better or worst the whole concept. Keep up the good work Greg!I want to say I think this mask is FANTASTIC!!! I dont think a 3.0 mask is needed. I guarantee nobody is gonna get it closer than this, and like greg said, you are looking at the mask on a mannequin!!!!!
Sounds like your being hypersensative and even though I'm in line for a copy of this one you should still resculpt it 50 times till its 100% to the original so much so that you canpop it right into the mold of the original
I mean you call yourself an artist or what!
I mean no one else is doing this mask but thats no excuse!!!!!
YOU SUCK!
That last eye shot has the brass showing off in the right shade, but I was thinking the one on the temple is actually a cut piece of ribbon cable cut out and inlaid......... at first glance that one is different than the others which are solid in color
Can't wait to see the full suit photoshoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We could all ***** to greg till next sunday ( or monday cause I'm busy saturday) about a MM hear or there but since he sculpted this and they didn't (its a model and print so its geometrically symmetrical)
I'd say gregs is as good as its ever going to get
It is really weird that the one at the archlight is such a ruff casting
it looks like they made zero effort to remove the print lines..... lazy cape town bastards!
Hey everyone,
thanks for the support and the constructive criticism
I just want to say
I am very happy with the mask and while there is always room for improvement in any sculpt, or art for that matter, I could sculpt till the end of time and still never have it 100% like the original, no one could unless they molded and original or did a 3d print of an original file.
Please keep in mind proportions of an average female's head as well. Things like the eye holes, etc tend to seem bigger on a mannequin head which is very small.
I am trying not to be hypersensitive, but I find asking for another sculpt a tad insulting unless the person is the commissioner.
Thanks guys
Greg
Man, I hope you didn't object to my posting the reference photos. Your work is great, and I'ts really encouraged me to start working on my own for my my wife. Partly I wanted to post the pictures for others coming to this thread to have some reference for their own projects.
