TDK Joker props (merged)

Re: TDK Joker props

ALSO he told me to keep the knife wich i offered to return to him and he couldn't even offer me the knife i wanted hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe because he don't have any in stock that's why.He prob realized he couldn't get any more in and thought i didn't know a thing or 2 about knives and tried to pull a fast one on me.

I mean...I don't know if it's fair for you to attribute such scheming to the guy. Most normal (i.e., non prop-collecting) people would be happy to receive the more-expensive, higher-quality one. He had no way of knowing you were going for screen accuracy.

Just a thought!

Re: TDK Joker props

I got mine here: http://www.directknifesales.com/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=53

Yeah, they charged me eleven bucks more than at Extremely Sharp, but I got the correct, straight lined, non-serrated blade.

Still, I spent an hour with a rag and Brasso trying to buff out the scrapes the blade got while switching it open and closed.

And while we're on the subject, does anyone know what kind of lubricant I should use to keep a switchblade smooth? I doubt WD-40 is the answer.

I hear what your saying but in my case waiting over 3 weeks for something that i specifically did not order is kinda careless in my book.It wasn't about how expensive of a knife he sent me the point is he took me for a ride for 3 weeks waiting for that specific knife.I just think he sent me that knife cause he just wanted to make a sale knowing what I wanted he couldn't get for me simple as that.I'm not trying to bad mouth the guy all i'm saying is the guy is not so trustworthy on what he sends you thats all.

Here's a question for you.If you sold something off a website no matter what the consumer was buying would'nt you send the customer exactly what is pictured/described on your website and not what looks closest to it ???.

Thanks a lot! I'll be snagging that one as well. :cool
Theyre not that expensive, so either I end up with 2 decent knives, or 2 screen acurate knives. Or worst case, 2 crap knives but... whatever.:lol

Re: TDK Joker props

Oh hey, it's no problem. I'm glad you did. :)
I wanted an accurate knife for opening night, I would have been very unhappy if I recieved one that wasnt.
As it stands I have 2 on order. With any luck, one of them should the right one. :lol

True. On the whole, I'd just say he's a bad businessman. :)

Re: TDK Joker props

Really? There's a ton of reference out there (more for the makeup than for the costume, but a fair bit of both), as I've learned on the Superhero Hype forums. If you want, I can mail you a zip of the images I've collected.

I'm sure I've got pretty much the same pics, however, send them on over (a3pinder at yahoo dot com).

I'm looking for more detailed pics of costume so I can get as accurate as possible. For instance, is the inner jacket 2 or 3 button (looks like 3), side vents, single vent, or no vents? Pants have back pocket flaps? How is the vest adjusted in the back? I'm sure many of my questions will have to wait a few more days to be answered, but we shall see.

Re: TDK Joker props

For his pistol: it is a Glock 18. It's a machine pistol with an extended clip. In my opinion it is not a Glock 17 because the 17 doesn't have the full auto-fire capability. Am I correct gun folk? Since the prologue is available in high quality, anyone able to identify the shotgun the bank manager uses? Joker picks it up from him at the end of the scene, so I assume it's the same shotgun he uses at the party scene.

Re: Joker TDK props

Has anyone seen the scans of the red card deck boxes the Joker uses? I'm looking for some. I believe there is a red pattern one and a purple pattern one.

Re: TDK Joker props

I want to say the shotgun is a sawed off remington 870 but... I'm no gun expert. Hopefully now that the movie is out we can get some more people identifying the various knives and weapons used.

A few days ago I recieved both of the knives I ordered. I had them in time for the premier to show off to my pals just as I had intended. I ordered two just to make sure I got at least one that was the correct model. Luckily they both were. :)

They're pretty decent knives for the price. I haven't had any problems with either of mine. The blades tend to get a little scratched up, but I think that's just the nature of the cheap mechanism used to lock the blade. I keep one in the box and I fool around with the other one. They're legal to carry where I live, so it's something I can take with me for whatever reason. I like the balance they have too. I'm not a knife wiz, but I think they're pretty good.

Oh, just for giggles, I took another picture of them with another Joker prop. Those who have seen the film will understand. :lol

Re: TDK Joker props

Can Anyone Find a UK Website That Sells the Joker Knife as i Really Want one im kinda Feeley Left ot Everyone Seems To Have One
Thanks For Some Help

Re: TDK Joker props

I dont think auto-knives are legal at all in the UK. :confused

Not sure about that. Spring-loaded blades are illegal, as are butterfly knives, but I think the quick-opening folding ones with a lug on the blade are OK at the moment. But I think the old gravity knives were banned a while back. If this works the same way (and I'm not sure if it does), it'll probably fall foul of the law, too.
Yep, if enough people get killed in the UK with common kitchen knives, then the expensive, exotic collector stuff gets the elbow. Marvellous.

Re: TDK Joker props

That pencil is one of my favorite Joker props. Nice collection there.

Re: TDK Joker props
