TDK Joker props (merged)

Re: TDK Joker props

For the past week I've been searching for the prologue duffel bag. No luck so far, but I won't stop trying. Also, even though the info is a little old, Rubies are making the Joker prologue mask and Corgi is apparently making a deck of Joker cards.

Re: TDK Joker props

Where would you buy corgi products as I so want the whole joker replica deck?

Re: TDK Joker props

The deck hasn't been released yet, but I'm assuming when it is that either their website or amazon.com (where I get my Corgi Batmobiles) will have them.

Re: TDK Joker props

The placard I saw from the Corgi display indicated a "set of Joker Cards"; not necessarily a deck.

Re: Joker TDK props

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone! My little brother is a huge Batman fan. I had no idea what to get him for his birthday/graduation until i read these threads, and with your help he's be the proud owner of the Joker's through-the-front switchblade knife and a batarang and about 25 or so Joker cards i was able to find through links in this thread. My girlfriend is a photographer and specializes in image restoration so she was able to clean up a lot of photographs of the cards. She then printed them out on photo paper. Each card is really 5 layers: the over-laminate, the face of the card, the adhesive layer, the back of the card, and another layer of over-laminate. We used "canvas" over-laminate for that realistic card texture, you can probably find it at most nicer photo labs. Let me know what you think! (and thanks again!)

Very nice work! Your brother must be a very happy fellow. Any chance of sharing some touched-up images with others?

What placard was that? Is there any info on it online? I've checked the website and even written them but didn't get any response.

I saw it on someones report from the NYC toyfare; they posted a whole slew of pics.

Re: TDK Joker props

The knife through the playing card looks like it could be a Microtech Halo II. But the more I look at it maybe not.

I used to collect Microtech knives, which are the highest quality auto knives made (and most expensive, going for $400-800).

I wonder why these movie related items come out so far behind the films these days. there's Iron Man stuff that's not expected until the fall.

Either it's because the merchandising couldn't keep up with film production, or they wanted to extend interest. Maybe in the case of Iron Man, to help generate more interest come the DVD release.

Interestingly enough, that pic above was from the prop table on set ... but the picture of the knife actually in "use", shows it to be the joker's knife we've already identified.

We'll have to wait and see on July 18.

Re: TDK Joker props

Does anyone have any way to get this video off the website so I can save it on my hard drive?

I couldn't have asked for better reference shots. They even detail my favorite one, the one I'm planning to make for the premiere. :)
