Should cut out sugery snacks like ice cream. And just drink black coffee. I don't pig out but I think I eat too many bad carbs

Abs are made in the kitchen. Not in the gym.

I am absolutely telling this to the students I work with in our after school fitness program. Verbatim. :thumbsup

You can track your intake with some free trackers online. Myfitnesspal & LiveStrong are two of the best, IMO. They have everything including MacDonalds and you can scan the barcode of food to track it.

^^ Everyone learns the hard way lol

I tried this once - but the more time I spent in the kitchen the worse my abs got :p

Seriously though, that spot around my belly button is always the last place to lose fat and I'm sure it's the same for most people, I don't think I've ever gone below 12% fat yet.

Yes. For men, they get first fat on the belly and its where u lose it the last. Kinds.
For women its hips n butt. As far as i know.

Thats why ur granny always sees that u lost wait cause ur cheeks r so slim :) its where u lose first.

You just hve to eat the right stuff and workout the right way.

I have to change my eating too now :)
I still see my abs but i wanna feel better too and so i have to eat better :)

Exactly right! You lose fat from all over at the same time. Your body just stores different amounts in different places. There's less adipose fat in areas like your face and more in your stomach area. That's why liposuction doesn't work. You get all the fat sucked out of your stomach, and a couple days and/or weeks later it all goes back. The fat naturally goes to that area.

That's only spot that fat stays on me. I could lose weight and have skinny legs and arms but still have a small belly fat

Oh yeah, I know, I know.
Last year I posted a pic in this thread when I was probably at my leanest at around 195lbs and probably 14% BF, this year I hoping to be even leaner at the same weight having put some extra muscle on over the winter.

These photos are six months apart..one was for Halloween 80's rocker. Anyway the most I weighed in these would be 185-190 at 6'1 age 38. People still say im to thin an don't worry about six pack until I put on more weight, but then my stomach gets bigger trying to bulk up

It's also easy to add muscle while adding fat. Adding muscle without adding fat is the challenging part, and once you reach your muscular set point there's a very fine line between eating enough food to add muscle and eating too much food to add fat. Like 100-200 calories a day fine line. Most guys need to be at 10% body fat or less to display six pack abs. Some people show earlier, some people don't show until well below 10%, but it's one of those bell curve things. I would guesstimate, based on your stats, age, and those pics that you're at 11-12% body fat. But if you're not seriously anal about what you eat you will probably not get below that.

Many wwe wrestlers have greats arms, chest, lets, but still have a gut

A distended stomach is often a sign of steroid (ab)use.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Been to the doctor today; tendonitis in my left arm, I have to stop weights for a while and then start building up my reps again. He's advised me to return to a lower weight and less reps and build it back up. I've also developed crepitus in my knee and got myself a bike for cardio instead of running now. I can only advise you all to remember that we may be training to look like a superhero, but we aren't there yet. Restraint and patience will pay off. Just thought I'd share it with you folks.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

I find eating right is the hardest part. The longest I went without any snacks was like only 5 days haha :lol:facepalm
Well, I must try harder!

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Quick update. Been doing this about 2 weeks now. Not exercising or working out yet. Still trying to drop the fat though. At my 3rd weigh in from two weeks diet id lost 10lbs. Although the first week was 6 I imagine due to shock of me changing my diet hugely.
Cut all bread, sweets, chocolate, pizza, pop (even diet). Really wish id took measurements so I could tell if my gut was moving. Took photos this week. so can see difference hopefully in a month or two.

I do have to keep my sugars down. Main fruit I like is grapes. And im eating rice cakes, fat free yoghurts, crisp breads and the like for my low calories. Usually one meal a day is chicken salad no dressing or chicken and small portion of jersey royal potatoes. Some days I have 3 egg omlette and reduced salt beans for breakfast.
I dont feel drained as of yet so think 1200 to 1300 cal is ok for now. I dont move around much at work. And have had 3 days where ive had more calories. Meals out etc. I always end up with chicken fajitas. Really need to trade them for a salad.
Owning up I had 1 of the 3 days where I ate pure s&it. Full english breakfast and a pizza takeout in same day well over my calories. It made me feel dirty and ashamed the day after haha. I did NOT feel good!

Anybody sees anything obvious feel free to point me in the right direction. Im a beginner and dont know what im going to do next!

J

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

A personal trainer told me once. When u start. Do one perfect day in the week. A day where u eat good. Where i look not to do bad habit. Go for a walk or some workout. Or during work try to stand or walk around every now and then.
With the time u will see that u feel much better on those days and u will start to change the other days automatically.
It was his way to kill the little devil on his shoulder ^^

All i can say is you have to move. Exercises or workout.
When you just started go easy. There r alot of exercises for beginners. Like i started with pushups on te knees before i started to do normal ones.
It is not good to do too much. It can hurt u :) i know that. Lol.

And try to drink water and tea. Cause juices have more kcal and more sugar than coke. Its fruit sugar but still sugar ^^

Im sorry i cant say more about diets.
