3rd week on the low cal. Im now 11 stone. Thats a stone in 3 weeks. As has been said though. Its not about the scales.
I imagine ive lost muscle with the lack of protein. Been doing some research. Got my macros and going to start with the stronglift 5x5 workout. Trying the IIFYM diet. Still eating healthy though. Im hoping to cut on 35c 40p 25f. 1600kcals to start. Give it a few weeks and see if my fat percentage will lower. Dont wana bulk yet till I see whats under my 29% lol.

Holy crap, guys. Eat some damn sweet potatoes! Lol jk. No, really. Eat them. A lot. ;)

I keep seeing a lot of people concentrating more on HOW MUCH they weigh as opposed to HOW THEY LOOK at their weight. The scale doesn't mean crap.

Too much potatoes get u out of balance with ur acids and stuff ^^ not sure if acids is tje right word in english.

I dont really eat potatoes. I prefer rice and quinoa :) i love quinoa. Yummy stuff.

And u r right ^^ u shouldnt look on the weight. U better look on the measures and size :)

You mean pH levels? I'm sure if you ate nothing but potatoes in mass quantities it would be harmful, yeah. But nothing's wrong with pounding a few a day. I eat at least 3 a day during my bulking cycles. Only reason I stay away from rice and even quinoa is that a lot of companies that sell them put processed crap in them, preservatives and such. My little oranges nuggets of wonder easy to eat on the go, too. Bake them and wrap them for handheld snacks on the go!

Im hoping to cut on 35c 40p 25f. 1600kcals to start.

Don't worry about your macros as much. Try to stay under your caloric goals, but don't stress about it. Especially on a lifting program like SL.You're going to tax your body something fierce and it will need the strength from food. Food is fuel. Remember that. Personally, I'd up to to about 1800cal a day and (as long as you're eating healthyish) forget about the daily split. And drink your freakin' milk.

True. I guess so :) to eat 1-3 eggs a day isnt harmful too.
And sure if the companies put crap in them it sucks :)
Here we have stricter laws and regulations (but god knows how long) for stuff in food.
In the end we can never be 100% what they put in the food.

I dont mix it :)
I just cook it and eat it with turkey or steak or vegi.
Its like rice ^^ thats whY it called inca rice

hey guys im going to start insanity tonight has anyone else used insanity to loose weight? great progress from everyone :) any advice for meal plans for those living on a tight budget?

Hey man. This is a great thread to learn from but bear in mind one key fact; not any one thing is good for every body. I think everyone needs to keep that in mind. I could tell you that for the most part it boils down to weight training in short intervals with plenty of rest between.... and not so much cardiovascular. Most importantly, diet and exercise cannot be separated. Notice that the diet is first in all reference articles? Be mindful of what you eat; shop around the perimeter of the store. Do not eat 2-3 hours before you go to bed. Drink plenty of water. Do or do not, there is no try. :)

Apologies. Let me correct that. Aerobic exercise is important, like high intensity interval training, which is what many people have been using here. This is similar to the insanity program. When I hear patients talk about aerobic exercise or cardiovascular, they usually refer to walking on a treadmill while watching TV. While that is a good start for many people, particularly those with prior history of pain or other conditions, even advanced age etc, it is not necessarily appropriate to an end result required here.

I'm doing insanity because of need to loose some weight more then build muscle my arms abs and legs are in good shape just hidden by some fat I'm at 12% body fat at my Peak a few years ago I was 4% ( which I just couldn't maintain for more then 2-3 weeks) my hope is just to look a bit slimmer when I meet Stan Lee in julu

How do you mix your Quinoa - it's so bland on its own!

I generally do quinoa for breakfast. I do a mix of about a 60/40 mix of quinoa and Granola (granted I think the granola mix I use has some quinoa in at as well) and add fruit, generally either bananas or berries and put a decent bit of greek yogurt on it. It's pretty quick to make and I find it to be quite tasty. I'll make a couple days worth of quinoa in the rice cooker then stick it in the refrigerator so it is ready for breakfast.

I'm currently 134lbs 5'9". I've been lifting weights and doing HIIT but where I need some help is diet. Right now I can barely hit 3000 calories a day, does anyone have good recipes or ideas for calorie/nutrient dense meals that aren't so filling?

I have problem with eating more too.
You just have to force urself to eat more.
Sometimes i just eat super fast ^^ then i cam eat more until i feel full.
Also i drink 1-2 shakes (more carbs than protein in them).

My trainer told me to eat 30g of protein to every meal (that is about 200g of cottage cheese in one meal). Lool i dont get it to eat that much at once. But i eat every 3-4 hours.

At the begin i did a 1month of creatine. It boosted me alot. But its mot good to take it too long and i never did it again.
I would not do any testosterone booster or anything. And of you can march ur need by food only its good.
I cant, at least idont, and thats why i use the shake. Its pretty good. And i feel good with it. But i also eat eggs and cheese every day and stuff.

I dont eat any sausages like salami or stuff.
During the week i dont eatt any meat actually. Only shrimps n shellfish ^^ cause 400g should be max of meat a week due to the medications and stuff they get.

Lunch. : 4 bowl of rice + food is 1000 calorie
Afternoon: chocolate milk 1600 calorie
Dinner :same lunch
Total is about more than 4000 calorie a day
I also workout , lift weight, pull up, push up
I am trial to gaining weight
And also if i wrong anything, pls dont laugh lol

I think that sounds too unilaterlly.
I would eat more deversified. I would miss the fruits, vegi, vitamines and minerals.

How do u do a chocolate milk with 1600calories? That is ca daily consumption of a grown up!

100ml of chocolate milk has around 88-100 calories. Do u drink 1,6-2liters chocolate milk for breakfast?
