TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here!

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Ok. Im 17 years old, 6 ft tall. 153 lbs and have 20% body fat. I know. Pretty bad.
Ive been very skinny kid my whole life and have a very crafty metabolism. I have recently noticed that i've developed a gut. Im looking for the Andrew garfield defined physique but i'm not so sure if I should focus on losing belly fat first or gaining more muscle. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help me out. Really appreciate this community.
Garfield was not muscular in a bulk way he was more just really tone, so you wouldn't have to concentrate on a mass building program. Body weight exercises at a high intensity( push ups, pull ups, sit ups) maybe some dumbells to round out your shoulders for that Spidey look. Just keep your intensity up, keep your heartrate up so you burn fat and your muscles will take care of themselves.
eat clean, higher in protien than carbs. stick with fruits and veggies avoid bread and junkfood for carbs, and you should be good.

Hi Aron,
I was slim before the workouts. I actually put on weight after i'm finished the programme. Last time i completed the 60 day programms i had put on over half a stonne. But that half a stonne was just all lean muscle though. I enjoy it because i just eat anything and everything for 60 days and at the end look and feel the fittest and leanest i've ever have. Not to mentiom looking fab in my Spidey Suit. The mums seems to enjoy looking anyway :)

do you use the insanity diet plan??

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

No i just eat everything and anything as u need to consume enough calories so u have the energy to complete the workouts. Beleive it or not i do zero sit ups :)

Question..... how does someone cope with eating plenty of fruits? If I have a small fruit juice not from concentrate in the morning and a piece of fruit in the day. Plus a fat free yoghurt somewhere. I endup breaking my daily sugar intake. I dont always have the juice. But its still the one thing I bust on.
Im on 1200 cal per day at the minute. 500 below required boosting To get rid of fat before I start with a few small weights. I dont wana bulk.

I am losing weight. But need to find better foods then crisp bakes ryvitas bran flakes etc long term. I like them and they work. But theyre still carbs lol.
Then I usually have chiken breast with salad or what ever (sometimes small portion of new potatos) for my dinner.

One major tip if you want to lose weight don't drink any soda period. If you have to once a week, if you are a junkfood person got to cut that out and just eat regular good meals. Other then that anyone could have a nice healthy weight.

Just to add. Apple juice has more calories and sugar than coka cola does. So no juices too ;) a glass every now and then is ok.

Either u dont eat enough or u dont train enough :)

I know i dont eat enough even tho i seem to eat all the time.
I just can tell what i trainier said:
"3000-3500kcal a day with 120-150g protein a day (ca 30g in every meal) thru joghurt cottage cheese, turkey, eggs, etc.

I dont do that. Partly to lazy, partly no time.

And i u eat enough u have to train and workout more. No pain no gain is true :)
When i workout my belly i roll on the floor with pain after a set :D

If you eat clean and enough and train hard enough you will get the results. There is no easy fix though i'm afraid. Its not just about working up a sweat. I push myself to my limit in every workout and beyond. Its ALOT of sweat and extremely hard work to get the results.

Be wary of over taxing your muscles with that kind of thinking, though, too. There's a reason every single hypertrophy, strength and/or powerlifting beginner's and intermediate's routine is low reps. That limit is there for a reason.

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Exactly Aron,
I reach my limit and stop and then ignore the voice in my head telling my to stop and i resume the exercise again. Gotta be done. Got to ignore the voice in your head telling you that your too tired to continue. As Shaun T would say 'DIG DEEPER' :)

And Shaun T knows what he's talking about.
So, like Nike would say, "JUST DO IT"

Obviously do it to a safe level. But your mind will always try and get u to take the easy option. Its human nature :)

Also, about the eating, Mark Rippetoe has said many times that when bulking, it's better to eat fast food than to not eat enough. And drink your ****ing milk. He always says that. I don't think he was serious, but I think the sentiment is right. If 1lb of mass = 3500cal and you burn 2200cal a day just by living, then burn another 500cal with your workout, eating 3000cal will net you a 300cal surplus. In order to gain 1lbs, you need to continue that for about 9 days to garner any weight gain. Stop looking at the damn scale.

Wow. That's bad advice. In regards to continuing to workout when your body is telling you it's had enough.

Wow. That's bad advice.

Also 1kg (2lbs) need 50kcal a day just to maintain.

The advice i got was: at first dont look so much at what u eat. Eat what u like cause u habe to learn to eat much. When ur able to eat much then u can get healthy food.

But im not sure bout that advice.

I enjoy food too much to see it as a nutrition or spmething only. Food is a passion :D

Re: TASM Fitness Thread. Get your Spidey Physique tips on exercise and nutrition here

Correct. Only for bulking, though. If you're trying to "clean bulk," slap yourself and stop. Unless you're a genetic freak like Bruce Lee or someone like that, then it's damn near impossible. Yes, I know. Your friend's, cousin's, neighbor's cat gave you this routine and nutrition plan and he gained like 2934857 pounds of lean muscle doing P90x and **** like that, but for the rest of the world, that doesn't happen. If it does, it takes years. Multiple of them.

I'm one of the lucky ones as it takes me no time to get bsck in shape. My pic is just 3 weeks of Insanity.
