Tackling my second Coyle metal kit build!

I haven't started the ammo clip yet, I'm currently awaiting its arrival from Rich...the one in the photographs is broken and can't be wired the way Rich dies his so I'm getting another. When I do I'll post up a bunch of photos on how I do it...

Darthwolf, I love this build and I am huge BR fan. As such I just got a parial Coyle Kit of the bulldog and reciever the other day. The rest I plan on machining myself as I take great pleasure in that Kind of work. I was wondering if you could tell me the length of the barrel. I beleive it is 4.5" but want to verify before I get and suplies. thanks and keep up the good work.

Following the tracking I can see my Blaster is now in the UK :D

can I ask are the dies you use UNC or UNF? also could you talk a little more about how you do the Blueing? like what you use, ive done a (admittedly quick) search here in the UK and i cant seem to find this JAXX stuff

cheers for putting up with the annoying questions :) ;)

Wow, this is a REALLY awesome BR build. I'm still a noob when it comes to BR, but I've been meaning to get into it once I finish my MGC DL-44. Where would you recommend me to start building a Blade Runner blaster?

:D :thumbsup

The best way is contact Rich(RACprop). You just use the contact button on his website. As for which is better I like Rich because he did the work to get it right. Sid did some recasting and as such I'm not a fan. The price is around $600

I already know the RAC website, but I don't see any for sale section there or anything. Do you have any plink please? I also know of an all metal Sidkit that I could pick up for $500 too. I'm assuming that RAC is more accurate tho'. Which would you personally recommend?

Ammo clip arrived yesterday... I will be painting it up then starting the wiring...I will post photos after I get the painting done...also, quick note that though I am good friends with Rich at Racprops...he has been banned so please do not post links etc to his sales.. otherwise , this thread could be deleted... I know, I know...its weird?! But I have been contacted by the administration already about this...thanks! I just don't want my threads removed...
So, I'll be posting ammo clip shots soon... Cheers!

There's a post about it in the banned member section someplace...I'd rather not get into it...I already been scolded once today by the admins...sometimes I need to think before I post...anyway, back on topic...ammo clip will be done asap...

No worries and don't want to get you in trouble again... Since I am planning on building that part from scratch can let you let me know how it latches in place.

It attaches on the underside of the barrel and on the right side of the cover plate in the front...I'll have to post pictures later off to band practice... cheers!

Here are some shots of the ammo clip in progress... first filed down all the high spots and leftover resin, then sanded it even with 220 grit sandpaper to smooth it out and finally 400 grit to polish it up a bit..then using black super glue...I glued the back part of the housing on after drilling the two holes needed for the brass nails to poke through.

OK...so, there you can see how the brass nails are supposed to align with the back brass flat connections when you insert the clip and also that the small click switch gets installed in the front of the clip...I have to say also, be sure to test fit everything before painting and wiring because you may have to refit a few pieces after you paint but its worth making sure everything fits first...uploadfromtaptalk1403902541119.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403902550345.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403902560583.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403902568454.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403902576264.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403902583383.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403902592391.jpguploadfromtaptalk1403902601370.jpg
I will begin the wiring soon after I paint and get the ammo housing and clip where I want them finish wise...hope these help! Cheers!

OK...I painted the ammo clip, housing and top cover today using my airbrush on a fine mist in three coats...I think it came out pretty nice. I'll put a final gloss coat on after I do the side covers and site rod tomorrow... here's a few shots!
Enjoy! uploadfromtaptalk1404017257494.jpguploadfromtaptalk1404017272363.jpguploadfromtaptalk1404017283538.jpguploadfromtaptalk1404017295496.jpguploadfromtaptalk1404017305065.jpguploadfromtaptalk1404017311758.jpg
uploadfromtaptalk1404017366776.jpg...
and last, here are the FAKE hollow point .44 rounds I'm going to load into the cylinder.
Once I get to the wiring I'll post a ton of photos for everyone too! Thanks for checking out my version of the blaster... I love building Rich's kits! Very fun...
