Been watching your thread for a some time now and I am in awe and very much inspired by your work. I have even started peping my own sith stalker helmet and I can only hope mine turns out half as good as yours. and the rest of your costume is amazing as well. and im not even half way done assembling my helmet and that little bit of insight to the process so far make me respect you and your work that much more.

Your cyborg arm is coming along nicely and looking very sleek. If I may offer a suggestion to you and part of your design, while it is an incredible design i was wondering if a slimmer material might suit you better than a sock.

Ive used shirts like this in other costumes i have made and in one cut the sleeves off for arm covers and it worked quite well for me and figured it might work for you as well. here is a link to an affordable and shirt Starter Men's Long-Sleeve Performance Compression Tee - Walmart.com

I agree. The sock may not have be the ideal material. But, it works well enough as a base. It is snug on my arm and it was in my drawer already. Something slightly thinner would be a bit better. Can't beat the cost of an old dress sock though.

Spandex zombie flesh is pretty sewn. it fits, its sturdy as hell, and its 3:30 so I am going to bed.

I plan on doing some painting tomorrow

Wow, that's looking great!

It really is starting to look like that "is" your arm, rather than components applied over your arm. The black sock does a good job of selling the illusion.

You may have to do some airbrushing on the glove so that the color matches the faux-prosthetic arm.

After some toying around I think I have come to a decision on the colors for the body suit. Its basically a muted olive color with some purple veins. Thanks to photo shop it looks pretty good. Now I just need to make it happen in reality.... with an airbrush.

I haven't been on in a while, looks like you have made some good progress. I like how everything is coming out.

Just a suggestion for anyone else that might want to do this... I am pretty sure that you could use the 'panty hose trick' on the lycra. So you would cut the holes and then put a clear nail polish border all around the hole. This will keep the fibers from coming apart and looking like a cloth instead of skin.

You could always experiment with using a latex border instead of the nail polish... this would be a bit softer and probably look a little more like skin.

I just wanted to through out a couple of ideas I was thinking about on my own suit if I ever get around to making it.

Slygian, your arm is looking killer, great job. When you paint the skin take note that it is darker as it gets closer to his hands... not sure if this was supposed to be due to dirt or decay. By the time you get up to the shoulder there is much less olive color and it is more of an off-white/grey flesh color.

Painted body suit! Mostly done. The pictures dont really capture the true color. The arms look a bit beige in the pics. In reality they are more greenish. Also, it looks subtle, but the hands are a few shades darker than the upper arms. I may push it farther,m but it looks really nice in person and I am happy with it. I may not want to risk ruining it.

I still have to put the tattoo on the right arm, but looking pretty good it think.

I slept on it, and I came to the conclusion the the suit needs more contrast... and a touch more green. Its reading more beige than I would like. I will be darkening up the hands and she shoulders with a darker, more saturated green tonight. Hopefully I can get the arm tattoo painted on too.

I agree that your colors aren't on point. He needs to look more gray and kinda sickly (right word for it?) and the colors you have are too natural right on. Keep going!!

Thanks! The arm looks better than I thought it would. The seams really disappear once your a step or two away from me, and the robot glove really paid off.

I will be adding all of the sabers. It is on the list, but its one of the last things I will probably do before I finish.

I have a gutted Master replica Vader hilt that I will use. I am thinking of buying and weathering a cheapo hasbro maul saber to save some time. Finally I have my personal luxeon saber that I will likely be crafting the 3 pronged shroud for, in order to pass it off as the stalker claymore saber and have the option of lighting it up. The rest will be crafted out of pvc and painted up to look the part.
