Survivor: Heroes vs Villains Discussion Thread - Spoilers

Okay, final 5, and Russell survives.
No more hidden immunity idols to be found or played.
And with Rupert and Colby broken up, no tight alliances remain.
It's every man for himself.
I can't wait 'til Sunday nite!!!

GO RUSSELL!

The Wook

ps~Who was Rupert staring down immediately after his torch was extinguished? Was it Russell? It seemed to be, but why was he staring him down? Rupert could not ascertain from the votes read by Jeff whether Russell flipped on him or not: Rupert was vanquished with 3 votes, and for all he knew they were cast by Parvati, Sandra, and Jerri. However, he very well may've heard Russell say to Parvati, "Deal done.", when Sandra was handing the hidden immunity idol to Jeff. That comment would say to me, if I was Rupert, that Russell wasn't with me. Or Rupert might think that Russell--knowing that once the idol was played by Sandra--designed that comment to Parv to make her think he had voted for Rupert. Anywho, it just seemed odd that Rupert was staring him (or anyone) down like that. Maybe it was directed at Colby, and meant as a stare of encouragement. Nah, it looked angry. I dunno.

Why is it I get a sick feeling in my stomach that Sandra's gonna stay longer than anyone ever expected? :sick

I think Ruperts "Looks could Kill gaze" was directed at Russell. I could
be wrong but that is what I got from it. It was the cold stare of death!

I am hoping Russell makes it to the end but I'm sure he will surely be beaten
by yet another female who road coat tails to the end, just like last time.

I agree too, Sunday can't get here quick enough.

Oh my gosh, you guys and your Russell fanaticism. He's such a big baby when things don't go his way. "she's going to be sorry, she messed up." :lol He wants the game to be all about making him happy and when it's not - wah wah.

I also LOVED it when Sandra told him straight to his face that she wasn't with him and Parvati was giggling like a school girl. He totally gets off on people being scared of him and Sandra and Parvati aren't. And I love the way Parvati is smart enough to keep him around to deal with later rather than not vote her real threat off - Rupert.

Russell thinks he's in control, but he's once more messed up the social game because of his ego. In the end it's not going to be his decision, it's Parvati's. And she has to decide is it better to go against Russell in the final vote because everyone hates his guts, or will she risk losing 'respect' votes for him?

Rupert was staring down Russell, I have no doubts about it.

Also, funniest scene - Colby blaming his brother for not catching water.:lol

And another person joins the jury who will never give Russell a million dollars.

Sad to see Russell losing control and he definitely has been for the past couple of weeks. I have no hopes of him winning and only want to see Sandra gone at this point. I think Parvati will win in the end which would be deserved although there is no doubt that Russell played a big part of her getting there. At this point, since there is virtually no hope of Russell winning, I'd love to see Jerri win it.

I wouldn't mind if Jerri won either.

At this point I can't even guess about Parvati because I don't know what's going through people's mind about her - the heroes thought she was dangerous early on and were gunning for her, and Russell saved her. Ironically, he may help her win in the end because his behavior makes hers look better.

I think Jerri and Sandra have the best shot. But, Sandra is going to win. I can feel it.

The only reason Sandra would win at this point is because people hate Russel and she's been openly against him without fear and they may admire her for that and want to reward her and punish him...

Poor Colby... wouldn't it be funny if he didn't get voted out next week and ended up in the final 3 and had to give a speech as to why he deserves a million dollars? :lol

Russel may play a good game to get to the final two, but the way he plays it to get there almost assuredly means he won't win. He uses threats, blatant lies, backstabbing, and throws everyone under the bus to survive one more week.
IF he makes it to the end, he'll have so many enemies that the jury will vote to give the money to whomever is number two simply out of spite.

Yeah, that would actually be worth watching! And if you have been watching the Ponderosa videos you know that no one really thinks Colby is playing teh game well. Parvati is so dead set on getting rid of the heroes because she believes that if one makes it to the end she wouldn't stand a chance, but in all actuality aside from Russell, Colby is the best person to take with you. Even Rupert was making fun of him only lasting 15 seconds in the challenge back at Ponderosa.

:lol

That cracked me up, Guri.

But as for your take that Sandra doesn't fear Russell, she sure did back down fast after her "I'm against you, Russell" comment, following it up sheepishly with "You ain't goin' nowhere" and "You're good", right after he warned her that if she's against him she'll be going home next. Then, she tried to deny she even had made the first comment when it came up in TC, saying, "Did I say that?".

But hey, we're looking at her through two different prisms: you love her and I loathe her.

To Eopie, what are these Ponderosa videos you speak of? What is the Ponderosa?

The Wook

ps~Where does Rupert get off staring down Russell like that? First, as I explained at the top of this page, there's no way he could know who Russell voted for. And second, 10 minutes before "the stare" Rupert sat there and said stuff like "to make it to the end you have to turn on your own" and once there "you need to show the jury that you are the greatest villain or hero". That stare was sour grapes, and I hope it is not predictive of how other jury members will perceive Russell. We already saw Russell robbed in last season's final vote, purely because of sour grapes.

Nah, I don't love Sandra, I just don't like Russell or see what you guys see in him that's any different than her. :) So when she sticks it to him, I'm more on her side than his. I really didn't see anyone that I really could root for this season, unfortunately.

Avoiding sour grapes is part of the game. Like I said last season, Russell lost because he doesn't play the social game very well.

Ponderosa is where they send the jury members. They get a little pampered there, it's pretty cool videos to watch though. You see what happens to them as they leave the tribal council and some of the things they are doing until the next tribal council.

Check them out here, start with Coach day 1 and work your way back until Rupert. It's pretty cool...I've started looking forward to them as much as the new episodes.

Are we sure this is a two finalist season. There have been some 3 finalists in the past.

With one show left and five people left. Two councils in a two hour finale show, leaves three.

Hmmm?

Cool. I just watched Coach's, but I can't find where to bring up the others in order. When I clicked on "Ponderosa" on the bottom menu bar, it took me right to Rupert's--but I need to see all the ones in between first.

Help.
