Supernatural 1967 Impala Conversion

Yeah, MOST of the world can't either thanks to Dean Winchester..........................:facepalm I do have a correct radio coming in but it is going out to a customer that has been on my waiting list forever (yes even longer than the damn Flask Covers and Journal.................:eek). Tell you what brother, the next one I find it's yours.....................:) As for the rear speakers, on the show the 6 inch round speaker grills are from a company called Hertz. However there are NO speakers in them. Just for looks guys (and girls). Now for my cars I use a 6 inch round speaker from Audiovox Rampage as it matches the radio and I'm all anal about that kind of stuff..........................;) Oh yeah, I also use a Rampage amp in my trunk......................:ninja To hear what the system sounds like go and watch my youtube video "Riding in Stefany's Supernatural Impala".

I saw that the other day. I new Dean Winchester was a Billy Squier fan!

Thanks for the offer. If you do find one, please grab it for me, or tell me if it's on eBay. Don't want both of us bidding on the same one pushing the price higher without knowing :D

I'm the same regarding the set-up. I'd prefer it if everything matched. So I'll go the same route :D

Funny thing is that what was on the Radio when I turned it on................................:cool

It's good to know GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE......................:D

If I find a radio on Ebay I will let you know so you can have it all to yourself.........................;)

Progress on the Impala I am building for Stefany.............................:)

Hey Russ there is an audiovox rampage av2000 on eBay right now with 14 hours left to bid. I finally found mine on eBay after months of searching. So far that and the cooler have been the hardest thing to find. Also to anyone can someone tell me about what it cost to upholster the seats? That's my next step.

Do you have a link to it? The only one I can find (which I'm bidding on) is an av3000 which ends in 2 days. Not correct but close enough for me.

For the cooler, look on Kijiji.com. I got mine form there, and frequently find others.

Hi Russ
Is that your bid on the Rampage AV3000 that I have been watching it since it first came up on ebay. If so I will not bid on it so you
can win it.

Larry

It ended yesterday and sold for 165 dollars if you believe that. I found the cooler on eBay a couple weeks ago for 75 dollars. If you want something close to the av2000 I bought a phase linear brand that looks identical to the av2000 with a cassette in it. If I can figure out how to post pics I would show you how it looks in my impala. If you like it you can have it.

Hey Russ!
Let me know how you get on securing that sister car to your Impala. If for any reason you decide to pass on it, I'm more than up for a road trip. Cheers!

Trent.

I figured now was a great time to join the RPF Impala community. I've been working on my Impala project for a while now. Currently I've got two cars.

This was my first acquisition. I named the car Angie (short for Angel) I've had her for several years.
I managed to get the engine running, and I replaced the fuel tank. Then life got busy and I didn't really have too many opportunities to work on the project.

Just recently, I picked up a new one. The car is in amazing shape and I couldn't pass up the opportunity so I grabbed it. Now I have one that I can actually drive around! It's heaven. Much like the other folks in this thread, the paint will probably be the last thing I do. The next step for the new car is to itemize what I need to fix and plot out how I get from here to finished.

I have more pictures, but I just wanted to start with these two.

I would also like to put a great big thank you in here for ProjectTHX138 for all the assistance he's provided so far.

Hey Will,

Glad you finally decided to join us bunch of mishaps over here.............................:)

Really LOVE your NEW blue Impala. If you ever need help you know how to get a hold of me........................................;)

I'm going to build a parts wish list for the car over the next couple weeks. I'm headed to DragonCon at the end of the month, so I probably won't make a whole lot of cosmetic progress. I do have a mechanic bud who will be showing me the ins and outs of the car while we get any potential mechanical or electrical issues sorted out.
Here is the rest of that run of pictures that I took the last time I drove The Impala around.

The blue is actually a redone paint job. The guy I picked her up from was going to redo the whole car, but the interior was going to be too expensive for him to finish. He does paint and body. He told me that he mixed the blue by hand out at his shop. He covered up the holes where the trim attaches, so I'll need to fix that eventually.
The paint will be one of the last things that I modify.

He had no idea that the show existed, he just thought the car was really solid. He quoted me some really good prices on paint jobs. Heck, I may have my Charger repainted black to match Sam's. Though, it's an 07, not an 06.

The guy I bought mine from had no idea about the show either. That's how I got it so cheap. He couldn't understand why I was so interested in it. My impala was actually first sold in Washington KS. Which I thought was pretty cool. Anybody have a ballpark on what it cost to recover the seats? That's my next step and was curious how much it could run. I will keep posting pics of the progress for you guys.

I got mine completely restored to match the shows seats for 1000 bucks. Front and back.
