Superman The Movie - Custom 3.75 inch action figure project and Palitoy / Kenner cardbacks *FULLY PAINTED PHOTOS*

Decided to change the background colour on the Batman card. I just wasn't happy with how the orange looked.

Decided to change the background colour on the Batman card. I just wasn't happy with how the orange looked.

Well, I think the blue will make the figure disappear a bit. Usually they’d do something within the opposites of the color wheel. Batman is primarily blue, so the opposites of that color is orange. I thought the orange was nice. It matched the bat symbol/utility belt and would make the figure pop on the card.

Man, this is a tough one. Here's the orange, but now there's a lot with this similar color.

Slightly tweaked original orange version. Added Catwoman and Ming into the collage now. Do you think I should use black text on the orange Batman name?

What if you try these three...

1. Try the green in the bat signal up top.
2. Try the purple/dark blue in the cowl in the top logo.
3. Try a dark navy that is in line with the dark blue cowl and cape his photo.

The majority of the original SW figures used the color wheel. I’ve uploaded a simple one here. And the would try to find opposing colors that would help the figure pop off of the card.

The original 12 figures did this really well.

I did already try the blue/purple from the top of the cowl in the logo.
Here's the "Ben Kenobi" orange with black text (and here's the blue/purple from the top of the cowl).

I like the orange! He’ll pop off the card for certain. They were also using colors that were popular from the time; orange, green, deep yellow. And you’ve done all of that here! Awesome work!!

The orange worked really well with the Catwoman figure on it, so I've swapped them over. "Ben Kenobi" orange for Catwoman, and a bright blue for Batman.

Just got Lex Luthor to finish and then my set of 12 Palitoy Superheroes and villains will be complete. Can't wait to get the artwork done for the back of the other cards so I can start putting them together and adding figures onto them.

I've hit a snag on the last figure. I don't have the Photoshop skills to extend the background of the Lex Luthor photo so it fills up the space between the logo and borders. :(

Why not just grab a high res screenshot from the movie? Then you can just crop out what you don't need.

I've tried to avoid screenshots on all these, but may have to use one. Is there a link to any good websites that have already done some HD screenshots?
