Thanks so much!! I was so scared he was going to look stiff. I am very happy with the way it moves. Eventually, I want to make his eyebrows move... but that is in the future

Outstanding! Fantastic job. Brilliant execution. Balls hot in there?

Thanks so much!!
It is hot.... but not terrible. The back of the feet have vents that act like accordions when I walk The legs/belly area is open underneath allowing for cooling of the undercarriage and the head has a fan for air exchange

as far as cooling you can buy a cool vest (mesh construction vest with pockets for ice pack inserts) and they work pretty well...seems no matter what costume I am in heat is always a battle living in the southeast and the vest have been a life saver.
also walmart online carries a mascot fan for like $8 that works pretty good

I have to say, I have so much respect for the people and builders on this site. Reading these compliments means the world to me.

There were a few opportunities to wear Sully out this weekend and I got a few good photos. Basically, just me screwing around, having some fun. I hope you guys enjoy them.

Please ask questions about the build. I don't know where to start, so maybe I can field some questions.

Hi,
Would you be able to explain what materials you used to make mike and boo please? As looking to make both.
Thanks

Yeah sure. Both boo and Mike have an upholstery foam core covered in stretchy material.

Boo has a PVC pipe spine running up the back that holds her "lid" on. The eye of the costume are more pvc attached to the spine w painted foam balls on top for eyes. the "lid of the costume is EVA foam. It's important to keep the top light. otherwise it will want to close the whole time.

Mike is super easy. Just a weird shaped ball. Most of his features are just more upholstery foam built up to make an eyelid. The eye is a Giant Googly Eye from Joann Fabrics. I just used the lens of the eye and replaced it with a print out of Mikes Eye.

I hope this helps
