Ok ive had hydins supes returns crystals in the same box undisplayed for years.
I was thinking about getting a model car case and putting some acrylic stands on it. but i would really like it to stand up, in a control panel tube, in a display case. plz post your ideas on the subject.

Maybe starting with an acrylic tube that has been cut at a steep angle with a white base underneath lit by white LED's? I dunno, I still have mine in the box like yours...

Go with the acrylic case for sure, and get an inexpensive light from an Ikea..and that will look sweet;)

I think these are truly meant to be displayed in acrylic tubes and lit from underneath. Make it look like the FOS control panel.

I've actually got my FIRST Supes Returns crystal on its way as well as a "Brando" version. I too would be VERY interested in display ideas leaning towards a whole 'control' panel...keep'em coming please!

I have a selenite votive holder with an acrylic tube in it.

Selenite picture below. Nice thing about the votive holders is that they have the hole already drilled out for the tube to fit.

The one I own is a 5 to 6 inch semi-oval/circular base but with one flat side so I can eventually add a plaque or Superman symbol.

I'd say the height ranges between 3.5 to 5 inches.

I'm using it for my Superman 2 Donner Crystal (cut crystal using the screen used measurements).

That looks perfect....but what is it? Where would a person get one?

It's a Selenite Votive Candle Holder. There are a few on ebay, but you can also find them just by Googling.

You just have to order the tube after you get the holder because you need to measure the opening to get the right diameter tube (or cut the hole bigger if you want).

Skyscraper Candle Holder: 5 for $60 or 10 for $110 http://crystalrivergems.com/products/minerals/selenite/index.html

I'll have to try to find something locally. I wonder if those Dot-It LED lights would fit in it. Push down on the crystal to activate the light. :)

great idea! Off to the store after work and might be drilling out a hole from the bottom to insert one of these this weekend!
