This is going to be super cool. I know the original could be mounted vertically (like a disc on it's side) My hope is to be able to do the same thing...so it can be on a stand next to a wall...otherwise I need to convince my wife to let me expand the house. :lol

The mounting points will be the same Jesse. Of note is the only steel tube is the horizontal mounting points. The vertical points are just through the holes cut in the acrylic. I have no real answer why the vertical points are not sleeved like the horizontal mounting points.

Hi Gort. We're very keen on keeping the price affordable. I am going to be getting the tubing and disks to do the final fit of the panels. Then, off to the rubber they go. We're getting close. Maybe 2-3 month out but were getting there. I am fighting an illness again. Since my chemo I have been suffering through illness after illness. I'm hoping my body recovers soon. I am eating and drinking all the good stuff as prescribed and resting but I seem to be a virus magnet :angry Thanks for the kind words Kurt.

Thanks for the encouraging news re price. God, I wish I wasn't so skint all the time. - however that worry pales into insignificance compared to what you must be dealing with. I'm really sorry to hear that you are going through rough times.
I'm a firm believer in the power of mind over body. Just stay focused on things you want to achieve...like big Base Stars. and I'm sure it will help you beat whatever gets thrown at you as much as any medicine.
