Thank you for posting pictures of the kits.

Could you add a picture of the interior of the Tie Interceptor wings and a close-up picture of the center of the Tie Wing.

What is the diameter of the steel rods going into the Tie Wing?

Hello Testsqa;
I am away from home for a few weeks, and I didn’t get the chance to measure the metal rod and take the pictures you requested before I left. As soon as I return I will post it for you. Thank you for taking an interest in my project.
Best Regards;

Hello Testsqa;
I’m back home and back to working on this project and have the information and photographs you Requested. The diameter of the metal rod is 25/32” or 19.88mm if you use the metric scale…

here are the photographs of the Tie interceptor wing details, inside and out.

These metal parts are the display stand for the model……

The parts fit together like so-

The horizontal metal rod gets inserted through the Fuselage. The ends of the metal rod each have a threaded hole so you can attach the wings of the Tie Fighter with screws. This is a nice bonus in case I ever have to disassemble the model, all I have to do is remove the screws.

The model then sits on top of the display stand like so-
The bottom of the stand can be screwed to any material I like. Most likely I will use a piece of painted MDF.

Before attaching the wings I had to widen the hole to accept the metal rod so when I disassemble the model for painting everything comes apart easily.

Then the wings get screwed on with the provided screws and washers.

I sanded down the sides of the details which cover up the screws so I can disassemble the model as needed. These parts fit together so perfectly and the tolerances are so tight that if I didn’t sand the parts, once installed they would never come apart.

Done! 30 minutes of work. With the exception of the wings, everything is held together with a friction fit and nothing is glued.

More to come soon when I get the Tie Interceptor assembled.
Thank you for looking.
