Stranger Things (Netflix)

I’m glad Back to the Future is showing in the cinema considering how the movie came out on July 3rd, 1985 and Season 3 takes place on July 4th, 1985. There were many other references to the movies in previous seasons, like Steve’s shoes being the same as Marty’s. Or how Max had the same backpack as Marty, and her skateboard being made by Madrid. The biggest thing was of course Bob’s JVC Camcorder being the same as Doc’s. (Sorry for the potato quality photo. Back to the Future is being show in theater 1)

Every promo I see for this new season just gets me more pumped. Easily one of the best series to come out in the last decade! I'm so excited for next week.

Everyone I know has watched Stranger Things.. my co-workers.. my kids....etc.. everyone tells me to watch it "I'd love it"...

I sat down and couldnt make it through/past the second episode!!! (season 1)

Does it take some time to get good? Am I missing something here? :)

Yeah, 2 episodes are nothing. You missed everything.

It's a little slow, but it picks up a bit after that.

I wouldn’t say I was let down by season 2, I feel like I enjoyed it while I watched it...

...that said, I don’t remember any of it. Except the one weirdly out of place episode that was probably titled “Eleven and the Misfits” or something.

So...I also am not super pumped for this season. I mean, I’ll watch it, and probably enjoy it while I’m doing so, but I hope it proves to be more memorable than season 2 was.
 
Well, it started out pretty dumb, but hit it's stride in ep 4, and I ended up rreally enjoying it.
Much better than season 2, IMO.
Am I the only one who watched? I thought you guys were excited for this...
 
I was trying to quote BTTF64's post..... I am lost to this post.... do the character's actually "comment" during season 1-2 about certain gear being the same as in "back to the future?" or was it easter egg's?? I havn't seen an episode yet LOL

This season was good. The ending was an emotional punch to the d!ck. I can't believe the whole third season exists because of the Justice for Barb plot Nancy and Jonathan committed last season. Great job, Nancy and Jonathan. You guys got more people killed than Hawkins Lab did in Season 1.
 
I’ve been trying to watch it yesterday but things kept getting in my way. I crammed in the first 3 episodes late last night while doing laundry

I’m glad I’m not the only one who was scratching my head with the first couple of episodes..

I can’t wait to see this “pick up”

To me the characters feel out of place, expect hopper I freak’n love his role in this

When the kids are leaving the movie theater if you look to the far left (steve right shoulder) the man walking behind him is dressed like Steven Spielberg in BTTF when he’s driving the Jeep

I don’t think it’s Spielberg in stranger things, but I’m willing to bet this is a little wink at him because they made sure to keep him in frame 2 different times
 
Just finished the season. Loved it. Just a little bummed it was only 8 episodes. Felt a bit rushed. Wish they added a few more in there. Hoping for another season after seeing the post credit scene.....
