Anyone know the origin of these molds/helmet?

STORMTROOPER HELMET MOLDS on eBay (end time 11-Nov-10 20:43:00 GMT)

The ears look to be fan sculpts and not cast from original.

The helmet is also featured on stawarshelmets where it states:

The following five photo's below have been sent to me by Jason. His Fiberglass helmet has been hand finished reflecting the look of an ANH Stunt, has been molded from an original helmet (whether direct or 2nd/3rd generation I'm unsure), but the build quality is very good indeed. Note the thin ears which give away the RotJ look. It looks a bit like a hybrid of an ANH/RotJ.

Thanks to Nairod for the heads up.

Wow, postage is ridiculous! I would have to say from my untrained eye that it is a fan made helmet. Maybe based off a real helmet.

thats the going rate, nothing out of the ordinary. these pieces wont be light and would add up to several kg.

i got charged 85 dollars to send one of my total recall switches and that was only 1.5kg

No idea on the molds, but Zorg is spot on regarding the shipping, I was charged £64 ($103) to ship a light fiberglass helmet and that's no doubt a lot lighter than these are going to be

Zorg, I'm never gonna give you up, never gonna make you cry.

Neither would I tell an untruth or hurt you.

Right, back to the trooper...

I believe that Natty15d is a member here. Maybe he will post some info on the molds
I thought that name looked familiar. It does look rather crisp to be "original". Still, a decent laymen's set...but I am not even remotely a trooper expert.

The teeth, eyes and the fact that it has a bit of a wonk say that it's not MR. IMHO it looks like TE lineage to me.

Nope. The expensive one was more accurate asymmetrical than the cheaper version, though, neither, imo, are as accurate as I would have liked.
