Stormtrooper Assembly Question

I have a full set of trooper armor that I have had set up on mannequin for well over a year…but every day it seems that pieces come loose or fall off...so I have a question for the experts.

My leg and arm pieces are currently held together with velcro...but the glue seems to get loose and the pieces come apart. What is the best way to hold the pieces together?

I don't have an intentions of wearing the armor myself, I want to keep it on a mannequin…but for potential re-sale purposes down the road, I don't want to glue everything together making it impossible for someone to wear it.

Any advice??

Thanks!!

If you want to continue with velcro don't use the cheapo roll that is normally provided with armour use proper stuff.
Personally i would just glue it on one side and velcro the other on the arms and glue the front on the legs and velcro the back.

Thanks...What kind of glue do you recommend?

You can buy rolls of Industrial Strength Velcro at Michaels, if there is one of those near you.

What Firebladejedi said E6000 it works well on all types of plastic.
ABS glue. You get it at home depot. Comes in a metal jar with screw on lid and has a red and white label. Says something like ABS/PVC/Styrene cement.
It actually melts the plastic and fuses them together so you have to be careful not to spill it. Use the brush inside the lid and smooth on a bit to both sides. A dab will do ya. Then wait a few seconds until it becomes tacky and fit the pieces together. Use small clamps to hold it tight because it takes a while for it to dry.
