Vader reveal parts question

I've scoured older threads regarding the Vader Reveal mask for original parts names and didn't find much.

Was wondering if there is a parts list anywhere or possibly be named here?

Is the top metal disc a part from a faucet or a meat grinding plate?

What are the "piano keys" from?

And lastly, what are the various linkage arms from? Typewriters?

Thank you!

Unfortunately, the reason you've not been able to find out that information is that, as far as I am aware at least, it doesn't exist. If it does I'm not anywhere in the world where it has been shared with me. The parts you've named are everyone's "best guess".

Hopefully, one day we'll have more open resources.

Ok, thanks Dave.
I agree with Dave, that being said, it's a very worthwhile project to take on and with a bit of research and the help of some very talented builders on this forum, I'm sure you will have fun putting it together. Most of the greeblies will need to be replicated as some of them are still a mystery...

Exactly, many parts are still not identified and I am in the same situation, some time ago I bought a neck collar kit, only the greebles were lost, do you know if the wheels that the collar has are identified?

Most original parts can get quite expensive from my own experience but if you have the size and dimensions of the original part you can replicate them at a more cost effective option...

I know that, but it would be necessary to know where this piece came from to have the measurements and replicate it.
Thanks

The rumor I've heard is that they are rims from a toy car. I've spent a lot of hours trying to find one but obviously without any luck.

At a casual glance, I always thought the circular greeblies looked like video BNC connectors.

I'm at a point that I'd like to recreate alternate versions of props that might represent an early or later version of something. It would make sense that technology in their Universe would progress too.

I'm not sure where the ones used on the screen used version originally came from but they are also used on the neck brace

The circular greeblies are some sort of electronics "pulley". I'm guessing the came from a record player or video tape machine. Remember that back in 1982, home electronics were very limited, especially in England. Record players, Reel to Reel and home stereos were probably the only things that would have those sort of aluminum wheels/pulleys aside from industrial electronics, which at that time I couldn't see them cannibalizing expensive video and audio equipment. Of course I'm probably completely wrong, but it's my guess.

Found these on Alibaba:

The mesh can be found on radios from the time. I have a thread on here dealing with that because they seem to have bought 3-4 types of mesh, and a lot of it, I'm guessing from a factory rather than like 48 radios :D

Could it be possible, that they used German Tank model parts on the neck piece too?

Check out the tread wheels on this model kit:

I think that is highly unlikely, though a good suggestion, as the parts in question are machined metal (or possibly vacuum-metalized). One of them may be a replica part made to replace one that fell off at some point. You can see that most of the parts appear to be held in place with hot-glue.
