Stormtrooper Armor Lineage Chart

Yup. Steve used the actual ROTJ moulds, but according to what I've researched thus far, he produced fiberglass armor that wasn't used in ROTJ and ended up in fan collections. I could be wrong until this has been verified true.
[/b]

Oh well if you turn up any info on any armour pieces not ROTJ keep us informed :thumbsup

The helmet looks ROTJ judging by the pic.

Cheers Chris.

AA/SDS - Contracted by John Mollo in '76 to produce 62 full suits *56 Stunt and 6 Hero for ANH
http://www.Rebelscum.com/stormtrooperhelmets.asp[/b]

Suggestion to take that story with a grain of salt, LFL in court documents clearly states that AA/SDS was merely the vacuum former/assembler, nothing more... Also that story states he pulled the helmet in ABS, there has been nothing to support that claim...

Hence the search for the truth as we know it. ;) I'm certain there will be a lot more rumor and spin before the entire truth is fully known and the court case may shed some light on it if it ever comes. Someone had to sculpt the ANH armor, but apparently nobody but Andrew is willing (or able) to claim it. It's turning out to be the holy grail of TK research. ;)

I'm just putting out there what I've found thus far, fact and fiction. Eventually we will find the truth, and I think we'll all become better informed because of it, as long as we can remain impartial and work to uncover the truth together.

The Court case is over except for the judgement, there won't be any more light shed from it...

Not enough energy to compose an entire family tree, so I'll give you the short version.

- Film used pieces
- Me
- Everyone else (you guys sort out the mess)

No one has molds (ANH/ROTJhelmet & ROTJ armor) that are closer in lineage to the film used items they were taken from than I do. The molds I have touched the insides of the real items. NO ONE ELSE can say that. Just wanted to clarify.

[/b]

Err wrong Mr Super Ego, other people can say that :lol

I know of ROTJ moulds in a private collection here in the UK and as Voice stated he knows of ANH moulds as well.

Joe

Sorry if it came off as ego.
Just trying to keep the record straight as it seemingly incorrectly gets blurry from time to time.

Also, if this mystery person has rotj AND anh molds, why haven't we seen anything pulled from them?

Hyperdine nailed it... LOL

Okay, let me get this straight, someone claims to have an item, yet doesn't share it with you first, and therefore it doesn't exist??? Cool I wondered how all that hocus pocus worked. Now I'm all straight. Oddly, I have tons of stuff that you don't know about and yet, it all exists. What a sticky wicket this has turned out to be......LOL

Maybe because:

A ) They aren't out to make a buck.

B ) They aren't out to boost their egos.

Excellent thread and staying well on track with some very interesting information. Having had Marco, TE, and other armor Rigor's doing a great job. Keep it up.

Does anyone have pics of the ANH armor that still exists? I thought there wasnt any? Gino, can you post pics of your armor, I have only seen the helmet. This is too cool guys :) Nice work

maybe GINO has some ego, but hey, his suits are/were the best suits out here, right?
so i think it is his right to set the record straight.

"There was one sold in Minnesota of all places in 1999 and never been seen since. "

If it's the one I'm thinking of... the seller used to be a member here. Maybe he'll chime in on it.

I'm also curious if this was one already mentioned, or if the buyer has not mentioned it at all and this is one yet unaccounted for.

Dallas and I met this guy years ago.. He had Tons of Screen used items at his place that we saw, and it was mentioned he had a screen used trooper suit- in an undisclosed warehouse... Was leary, however did have tons and tons of other items...so?

I believe he also had a Gui Gon Stunt saber from TPM.. Not sure, but I think that may have sold as well. I remember it was on the market quite a while ago.

I know you are trying to get the proper lineage of ST armor (mass produced), but until you get all sides of the story (where stuff came from, etc), you are only going to have one side of the story (from Gino, Jez, etc).

It would be good to have all sides represented (AA, TE, etc) to get a complete picture. It seems that most of the posts here are about egos and what 'he' said or didn't say.

I think the post about what screen used helmets are owned by whom was very good information, but that even turned into something ugly as well (because again there was a disagreement with the information).

Its provenance is assured. "Trooper Expert's" was just annoyed that he missed out on it. His self-appointed board name is dafter than mine.

Cheers

Passed on it. :) This thread is too funny, it would have nothing but:
Marco suit
Copy of Marco suit
Altered Marco suit
Gino's copy of a Marco suit :)
without the "daftly named" Trooper expert :) Jez, thanks to him, I know things about ANH helmets that you don't B)
BTW< a photo linage chart would look great, can't wait.

While I sincerely appreciate people's objective opinions, please help keep this thread alive and on track - baiting and flaming each other doesn't help the end objective, which is to establish and track suit lineage for those of us who find it interesting.

While I openly welcome TE's inputs, he's banned himself here, so unless Matt is able to contact me (I doubt he's even interested anymore anyways), I have to go by what he's previously said here and openly said on other boards and contrast it with what is actually known to be true to the best of my research.

In the end, I'm trying to show the full 360 degree picture as I know it, realizing I can't ever make everyone happy. But at least I will have given it my best shot with everyone's help.

Nothing wrong with a bit of horn blowing and ego boosting :) your props speak for themselves Gino they do look great and everyone knows it that isn't in question.

Don't know anything about the ROTJ armour mentioned.

The ANH helmet hasn't had anything pulled from it yet as the mould taken was taken close to 10 years ago and the previous owner (a proffesional prop maker who works in the TV and film industry) doesn't exactly hang around in the online forum circles selling bootleg gear.

The same propmaker also has another amazing SW helmet and many amazing iconic TV props in his collection unfortunately when you work in an industry that pays your bills you don't want to bite the hand that feeds you (well not in public anyway).

There are people out there who have great props from the industry who haven't heard of the RPF and funnily enough there are some older prop makers who probably haven't heard of the internet :lol .

As time goes on and more and more enthusiasts meet each other online at places like the RPF the more and more great stuff will turn up I am sure of this.

Keep up the great work on the lineage chart rigormortis :thumbsup

Cheers Chris.

I'm sure its just a matter of time before a new pull of another ANH trooper helmet shows up. I've thought that for a long time.
I bet around 70 to 80% of all the original helmets made are still out there.

Keith.

That's grattitude.......considering that the lineage chart was his idea, began on the MEPD board.
