Stormtrooper amp & microphone----??bluetooth??

Hey,
I couldn't find a good thred on this. I was wanting to get a good unidirectional headset for use with my amps, but I've been having trouble.

I bought a bluetooth adapter w/ a jawbone headset that has "Noise Shield" technology.... I thought it would rid me of feedback forever... so I tried it after spending about $80.00 (buying on eBay)... and right as I paired it to the adapter I heard the most amazingly annoying "sqeeeeeeeeelllowwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooaaaaa" so yeah... it didn't work at all, and I feel like a waisted a bunch of money.

So, I'm wondering if there are any bluetooth headsets out there that are unidirectional... so I can still go wireless.... I found this on eBay, and wondered if you think it would work... or if it would be another dead failure...

if not let me know where I can find a good unidirectional headset (non-bluetooth) for not a tone of money. Let me know what actually works. Thanks.

Thanks :)

I'm not an expert, but it may not be the Bluetooth's fault. I know that if I get my amp to close to my mic (not a Bluetooth setup, just regular Radio Shack stuff), it gives an awful sound. Might be the amp that's the problem. Have you tried to amp/speaker farther away? I'm interested in your results, I'd had thoughts of doing something similar.

The jawbone picked up everything, even from far away. What I did hear of my voice sounded really weird... it sounded like I was a robot... very mechanized... if that's a word. I think I may go to radio shack today, and find that unidirectional bluetooth mic. If It doesn't work I can always take it back.

Hi.
Don't know if you've found a solution for your feedback problem, but I do Pro Audio for a living, as well as make ST Bluetooth Communicators, so maybe I can help if you tell me specifically what it is you are trying to accomplish.

Well, basically, I have a Jabra bluetooth converter. It basically is a bluetooth reciever that you can hook up to a non-bluetooth phone. I wanted to connect that and a bluetooth headset to my voice amp, but the Jawbone didn't work at all... I thought the Noise Sheild Technology would cancel out the feedback, but I guess I was wrong. I now have my amp mounted on a harness, that hides under my chestplate.

I'm wondering about a good solution would be to illimiate feedback as much as possible, but still be able to project a considerable amount of volume. the bluetooth was just so i didn't have to deal with wires.

Thanks for your help.

So is it basically working at this point? Amplifier in chest with Bluetooth converter, and Bluetooth headset? Or did you go back to wires?

went back to wires for now... Still having trouble with feedback, but I think I'll try lining my helmet with padded fabric, that may get rid of the sound waves bouncing off the plastic inside the helmet.

thoughts?
