Okay Guys, here is where I am thinking and have been studying this as I was building the cock pit. Thinking this so I will need to study a bit more then the canopy slide yep it will open and close, I already kind of have a plan for this or these parts the ideal has hatched now to nurture it and make something like a canopy slide. After this I will flip this over and make this other crazy looking engine that's on the under side. As this happens I will cut the tail and prep for this crazy looking tail that might be after the two out board engines, we shall see where it goes. So Thanks Guys for the likes and comments it really keeps me focused and making Stay Tuned more happening Thanks

Okay Guys, I noticed I need to go over some areas with some clean up and a bit of sanding and those trays need some clean up and I think there might be some detail stuff in there as well just a touch from being complete but there I will check all this once back in the shop Thanks

to have no access to the modern stuff like 3d printing you have done very well using what you have available in your shop and your skills making these parts .

Okay Friends, Very hot day in the old shop. Thanks to All for the comments and likes keeps me plugging away. Today was a day of a quest for sure. How to tell the story, so I have the slide upper part made but I am not happy with it. Seems like some time I over think things, so this part of the slide rest on the rim of the cock pit, Wow as I type this my mind wanders to those parts, I do think I am going to revisit this once back in the shop. This really looks cool but it has to be tough and back and forth slide slide slide. The part I made today is all that but as said I over think things, as well I will look around in the shop and see what other stuff I might have to make this. The lower of this part is made from metal and I am not to sure about it also I had to use what I always use and that is wood also plastic seems like I can make it better I had to run out to the shop and snap a few pics of this I forgot where this goes we shall see. Here we go Enjoy

Yep Guys as I sit here and look at this I will revisit this and replace the wood but this is a cool concept. I do have a plan I did so much recut today and I didn't have any pics of this cause I didn't think it was worthy it not just there yet but it is close as said a cool concept I will make it better also I did clean up that one set of treys and it did have a button now it does that small white speck is it Stay Tuned lots more to make Thanks

Okay Guys, I really do Thank all for the likes and comments means a bunch to me for sure when I am stuck. So today in the shop I really tested this part already made and it was to over thought, with that being said I was on a quest and now the canopy slide is almost there just a bit more work and it will be done and it will open and slide closed. I am glad I revisited this cause as said I will build it better and much better it is. So here you go Enjoy

Okay Guys, Lots of tweeking on this it needs why am I sounding like Yoda. Oh well yep still needs a bit more work but this came out much better that the first and works better. I am getting close to flipping this over and making that crazy under side engine. After this I will flip it back over and start on those out board engines so much fun awaits Stay Tuned more going to happen Thanks

Thanks all my RPF Friends, Love the likes and comments, so today was a bunch of sliding back and forth just to see how everything does as it slides. Its a wonder I didn't ware out the primer, but this is high grade primer. Only way to ware it out is by sanding very tough stuff. After seeing how all things worked during the slide, and how much clearance I have during the slide. This is a other clearance as the slide moves along the edge of the cock pit. This wasn't easy just thinking was a brain drain. So after all this I got busy fitting and testing making parts more checking. I now have all the parts and some parts are installed but I snapped some pic of all this chaos, so I do think all this will work perfectly. All this will all be finished in the morning, then the flip and I will take that engine out before I see it bounce again. Here you go Enjoy

Okay Guys, looks like the cock pit will have a sliding canopy, not there yet but very close. Analyzer look like I figured it out, a working canopy. Bout to be flipping and a very strange looking engine happening next. Well Friends back to the grind in the morning and finish this up. I am wondering how this is going to hang once I flip it over we shall see. Stay Tuned more making Happening Thanks

Okay Guys, I went full blast and hit a wall today, yep those black parts was a fail and I will show this in these pics. So the concept is right on just to improve on it and I did just that. Lots of chaos today after the fail I made it better and now have a working canopy slide. Here you go Enjoy

So there you go a working canopy, I didn't flip it yet I want everything to dry well then I will flip also There some small control panels I forgot to get pics of which I will before the flip. I am so glad this canopy slide came together and works. Thanks Guys for all the likes and comments much needed. Stay Tuned more happening bout to flip this thing hope I don't need help. Thanks

Wow, incredible work, the OLD SCHOOL way! By hand!

Watching intently.
Yes all by hand and now love the comment my good friend on here joberg has kind of got me slowed down and paying more attention to detail crispness and Thanks to you my friend for the great advice helps a bunch

Okay Guys, what a day ship is flipped Wow all good cock pit slide hangs good. So as I was saying Thanks to all for your comments and likes and Thank You joberg got me being more attentive and keeping things a bit more tidy Thanks for all your comments and likes as well you have followed about every thread I have done. So on to todays adventure it was muggy and damp in the air and it made what I was doing difficult, but I got it done. I have pics of all this chaotic fun happening also of the canopy slide hanging and Thanks Anaylzer, I really wondered on getting this part made and yep I did it. Now with the ship being flipped first thing was fill all the gap on the bottom and this took all day giving a slow mix which gives you plenty of working time. all the bottom is now primed I also got some pics of those panel's in the unseen areas and ready for this crazy bottom engine at the back. Here you go Enjoy

Okay Guys might be a bit of red putty then a bit more sanding then a bit more priming, After all that fun I will start on that engine. Well a day fighting chemicals don't like humidity and paint dry's funny sometimes. So all is good more fun about to happen, Stay Tuned Now for a Crazy engine Thanks

Might be a bit early to talk about paint, but what paint are you planning on using to get the metallic look?
Okay I am using a auto grade primer and I have a metalic silver which I did that test shot, I then will mask off some areas and use a straight silver. There is a high chrome paint I might use on the out board engine fronts Then some airbrushing detail time. After all that the bubble for baby Yoda then the canopy its self fingers crossed Vacu form time. also be some odd colors here and there like dust and rust dark grays Thanks

Okay Guys, yep been thinking about the paint myself Analyzer. Been doing some test shots looking at other silvers when out grabbing primer and glue and I will be needing some bottle 8 coming up. Thanks Guys for all the likes and comments. So onward yep first I want to say I am very sorry I took a bunch of progress pics of the engine being made and the crazy card didn't read the pics they are on my phone but wifey tryed and myself getting them to the card without happening So I just ran out and took some more and I only have pics of the finished project and yep it was a bunch of thinking on this one Here you go Enjoy

Okay those tips guess yep cut from the tip of the engine worked good.
20220711_212712.jpg
In the back ground you see a cut down fire works cannon yep used some of that and that stuff is hard to work with but it worked. looks like I do need to work on some red putty here I am rushing things and you can see it kind of rough I will fix this.

20220711_213000.jpg
Yep I did everything I could to clean up that small gap on the bigger tube and as said that stuff was not forgiving and I needed that size tube cut it right of the cannon launcher. I had some cool progress pics but I will still try after I get out to the shop might have to check on some red putty OCD happening. That whole bottom just was so hard as far as the priming it was trying to get crazy on me. I also bobbed the tail not going there yet but its cut and ready for some fun. Two big engines are now waiting wow getting close but yet so far enjoy the build Kermet Thanks

Okay Guys, I didn't get much accomplished today, and once again try to load those progress pics couldn't make it happen. So those pics from the con was good pics for a bunch of detail and I guess this ship was film used cause the screen grab I got and questioned about those tubes in the two back holes well they was right and mine wasn't so a bit of ripping out then made it rite also worked on baby Yoda's nest got it all done up but didn't attach the bubble yet still a bit to do there also took the one engine I had and disassembled it. I have been studying these big out board engines lots going on with these bad boys. A bit of work whilest I study these big engines, also gathering parts. I do got to get more primer and epoxy glue as well as me some more super glue bout out. Thanks Guys for following this crazy build and for all your likes and comments very much keeps me going. So here is a bit of todays happenings Enjoy
