It’s definitely a newer model but if you want a screen accurate jacket I wouldn’t go to the members only website, I would use Poshmark or Depop to find it. Here’s my jacket and I’m almost confident it’s screen accurate. Found it on Poshmark last year for around $20. (Lighting isn’t good but it is the light grey color.)

Yeah, looks just like mine that I got for about $30 just after season 2 came out (also from Poshmark). Definitely keep an eye out and you'll be able to find one for a lot cheaper than new.
ah cool thanks so the screen used one would have been bought off the members website as it was a new one , is that correct ? , also what colour is the jacket Steve wears in stranger things ?

is there a colour difference on the new jacket vs the old jacket though as isn't the screen used one the new jacket ?

More than likely, but MO has since slightly changed there design, the jackets now all have silver rings on the collar strap rather then the black rings that are on the screen used jacket. Classic case of close but not the same.

ah cool , thanks for letting me know , is it possible to repaint the silver rings ,and I've seen people mention that the one in the show has the long zipper what does that mean ? also how did you find such an accurate jacket , I haven't seen any that have the same zip and zipper colour as yours does ?

Huh, maybe mine's older than I thought, it has black hardware.
I'm sure it would be possible to paint the silver rings, but it would be extremely tricky to avoid getting any paint on the fabric around them, and they're not the sort of parts that could be removed for painting and then reattached. If you care that much about that particular detail and you're not under a tight time constraint, I strongly recommend keeping an eye out on eBay and Poshmark and running regular searches until you find the exact jacket you want rather than buying a brand new one.

The long zipper is referring to the zipper latch. It’s tricky finding the screen used model as Steve’s has the black rings but it has the grey zipper latch.

how often do ones that are screen accurate like that come up for sale tho as that version seems quite rare ?

Hey guys! This place seems like the most solid way to get good advice for Steve’s clothing, so I’m asking what is the best accurate kind of Levi’s jeans to get to replicate the light blue ones he wore throughout the early seasons? Levi’s has so many different kinds and variants so I really want to try to get it right. Please let me know what kind they most likely are! Thanks a bunch.

As you can see they removed the brand's patch on the breast pocket and in the clear ID spot they put a different 80's brands tag on it.
Maybe they chose this tag because this brand has long since gone under and is difficult to find anything about (I tried because I thought this was the brand of the jacket).
But yeah if you want maybe you can find a close font and photoshop something to print out and put in your jackets ID sleeve

My guess are 501s, definitely a light wash color, wouldn’t be surprised if they were 505s though.

Any second hand mark places, one that weren’t named already is Mercari, I got mine from there. All the ones named are pretty much the most well known, but it’s worth taking a look on any other platforms that are based around second hand selling!
