Steve Harrington's costumes Stranger Things

This is a Style Auto vintage jacket. It’s a brand from the 80’s which made racing style jackets (Another jacket from the same brand was used for the “Cobra Kai” jackets in Karate Kid and Karate Kid II. You can find some on eBay. I managed to get one very similar to Steve’s for 20€. I showed mine in the pics, and yes as you can see he’s wearing it in the Season 4 new teaser too.

You got lucky! This is not similar jacket, this is the exact same jacket!

I styled my hair once last year and kept getting "Steve" shouted at me. I'd never seen the show but I had a vague idea who people were on about. As a huge fanatic of everything '80s, I was surprised in myself that I'd never watched Stranger Things. Needless to say, I ended up watching everything in only a few sittings and can now see why people called me Steve. I've now decided to fully commit to the bit. After a lot of research into the correct clothes, a bargain find of a Members Only jacket and a pair of custom Nike's later, here's my version of Steve Harrington from Season 1.

Great work so far, Cam! Certainly one of my favorite tv characters! In addition to those classic nylon Nike Cortez, he also wears what look like maybe the Nike Cortez ‘72 and a black and white pair. I’m not sure if either models have been confirmed or if the black and white pair were true vintage or a specific contemporary model, but figured they were worth a mention!

Then there’s his S3 Adidas Gazelle, with what look like aftermarket laces. And I’m not sure if it’s related to sizing or the angle of the photos, but the half moon shaped stitching at the front of the laces and also the shape of the toe panel seem to be different on Steve’s compared to the standard Gazelle. do u recon the Adidas gazelle's are original 80s ones or modern ones

My guess are 501s, definitely a light wash color, wouldn’t be surprised if they were 505s though.

weren't they also original 80s ones I think Joe keery talked about them fitting differently compared to modern jeans in an interview.

They seem to be Levi 501 in a light stonewash. Most likely 80s due to the higher rise.

Yeah , gonna have to find some 80s ones then ( shouldn’t be too hard ) it’s interesting his costume tho some parts such as the members only jacket and the style auto jacket are modern versions. (The style auto was made by production I believe ) and other stuff is actually vintage 80s stuff

It’s just a vintage Eddie Bauer sweater I found on eBay. Got really lucky finding it!
