Will you be able to walk or move wearing the complete armor... just curious about the weight once fully assembled....![]()
Yes as a matter of fact. No worries. I have had a test suit up and there is a surprising amount of flexibility. As for the weight it's around 120 to 150 pounds once its fully complete. Something I've gotten use to over the years. I've made steel suits for 20 years now and worn them. The weight isn't as bad as it sounds. Its displaced over your entire body making it more managible.
Lastknight. No worries I will shoot you a pm about the build after Christmas. I should also be able to send you that pattern soon as well.
I might start a build thread on some of my past suits as well. Such as my samurai suit that is primarily made from authentic 450 year old armour that I had to restore.
Do you have patterns you could post?
still shocked everytime I see your suit man... PROPS!
could you please show/tell me what you are using to make those smooth 3D rounded curves? And if you have flatpacks that you start with and make 3D, could you please share?
Thanks
Really beautiful work
This looks amazing! One of the nicest suits I've seen.
Yes and no. I am about to start on redoing several sections. I want to redo the arms and legs at the very least. I am going to make the mark 42 in all there glorious details. I decided to go my own way not following a traditional model design. I hopefully will start work on those next week starting with the legs I might include a endo skeleton design that the plating is attached to.
And i'll be subscribing...GM
that is amazing work a true iron man suit from metal ...i cant wait to see this finished .
So, the primary suit in IM3 is the Mark 42? I thought it was 47.
42-47-24-74 No matter to me you had me at brushed steel. Very excited, is Christmas coming early this year? GM
