Stargate Jaffa Ma'Tok Staff mechanism 3d CAD WIP

Just a teaser of what I've been working on. I've got all the parts modeled. Downside is I can't seem to get a hang of 'joints' in Fusion 360 and get the parts assembled to test fit for clearances/interference. Going to take a lot of playing around I think or just biting the bullet and going for a 3D test Print from shapeways at @240 bucks. Downside is if I can't get it assembled it will be a PIA to get the outer shells modeled with the landings correct for the outer bars.

Got my joints issues figured out so Here it is assembled. Everything checks out for clearances. Now to start on the outer head shell

FYI,I know it's late for this post but you should look at the MakeXYZ network. Far far less expensive 3D printing than Shapeways.

Have you made the outer shell yet? That's where I'm stuck on mine.
