Proof that Lucas could easily hand this property into other creative hands to make great stuff. I know it's just a commercial, but still you see so much potential in that.
The feel of this commercial felt so well-toned to the OT and honestly gave me goosebumps. It was like seeing old 3p0 and R2 back in their true form again and was a VERY warm welcome to see them on screen like that.
Whoever did that did a wonderful job capturing those characters in that situation. Excellent job!

The R2's belong to two members of the R2 Builders Club, in total I think there were 3 used, two 3 legged, one two legged static for the fall, and a special set of legs made to do the tippe-toe thing, all furnished by fan, including the R2 gadgets/tools. The 3PO suit was flow in from Lucasfilm for Antony to wear.

Seriously? I mean, this is the kind of quote that pretty much gives the fans zero credibility when they criticize Lucas. It was a freakin advertisement of R2 and C3P0 playing around in an electronics store. No story, no human characters, no designs/technology. This comment is even worse than those who say The Old Republic trailer is better than the prequels.

I wasn't criticizing Lucas. I was saying that people outside of Lucas could make some great stuff without him having to be there directing or anything like that. And Lucas can just be Exec. producer.
Yes, it was just an advertisement, but it the characters could have been portrayed poorly, but they were done in tune with the old chemistry the 2 droids have and I really appreciated that.
And I also don't agree with the old republic trailer being better than the prequels.
