That is one of the less ridiculous leaks that have been published. Hilarious that you chose that one to make a hollow point. If people want to find out the rest, its incredibly easy.oh no there's going to be an old creepy man that draws the life out of people! Oh that sounds just terrible!.............Actually that sounds freaking awesome!
That's the one the Swedish government confirmed. That is one of the less ridiculous leaks that have been published. Hilarious that you chose that one to make a hollow point. If people want to find out the rest, its incredibly easy.
Thats just ONE of the leaks the Swedish government confirmed. Have you actually seen the complete list of leaks and the resulting amendments made to that list due to the reshoots? Those original leaks came out nearly six months ago and most were confirmed by the trailers and TV spots. That's the one the Swedish government confirmed.
Unlike the United States which allows the film industry themselves to classify the ratings of films, in Sweden as with many countries around the world the government do that job. In Sweden`s case, the entire process is public information and is available of the gov website. The way its worded, if you were not aware of the leaks in the first place, it wouldnt really spoil anything. Dont even get me started about the way German Burger King hilariously leaked the entire thing as well.
I think the thing for me with StarWars or at least the OT, and I believe I may have already said it in the past, is that it always had a heavy foot in reality, with splashes of fantasy and magic placed throughout it if you will. But by and large the events that went down in the story were largely something you could actually believe would happen. An overbearing military dictatorship and a group of people fighting to resist that. With WWII having been only 35 years prior, and the clear parallels that could be drawn through that. The battles, the events, the drives of the factions and characters, the things that caused them to change from who they were and become who they became.. the Hero's and messages.. It all resonated into something amazing and timeless..
But something about the ST was just severely lacking in that. We've gone over countless reasons for them throughout this thread, but really I think that's what's missing overall in these films and the ST's story. It's heart and soul if you will.. For whatever reason, whoever is behind the creative minds at Disney and Lucasfilm, they just don't seem to understand that.. or don't understand how to write it and adapt it, how to convey to the audience through the characters and make them feel like real people doing believable things as they experience the events in the film. Rather they go for flash and grandioseness to themes over any real substance. I'm not even sure what the individual factions end goals actually are
But maybe I'm wrong.. Maybe it's about Family
I've glanced at them. I don't trust what I read on the internet. Particularly when you have rumors floating around that the leaks were based off of the trailer footage, that was scene by some before the trailers went out. I mean you'd think Disney would want to put those down and quick if they were true.Thats just ONE of the leaks the Swedish government confirmed. There are no rumors floating around that the leaks were based off the trailer footage, that would be putting the cart before the horse. As stated, The Jedi Paxis leaks came out six months ago and have been updated as the screenplay has been constantly changed, the trailer footage merely confirmed many of them, including the originally posted ones. There are still many more of his leaks that will only be confirmed upon release. No reason to doubt them now. Just how exactly would Disney be able to put them down? By lying? Going down the old Khan isnt in this movie line? The laughable attempt to construct a script left under a bed story a week ago just shows how pathetic they are.I've glanced at them. See this is the thing that really bugs me about these Star Wars threads. In the end the mask slips slightly and people have to have a dig at someone else for liking something they don't.
It is mediocre to you. Yeah no doubt others jump in and say things like "well they're right", and such wonderfully childish things like "Ruin Johnson (seriously are grown men really continuing to call a man that?) gave us/the fanbase the finger".....
This cracks me up. I'm hearing people say the saga ended in 83, but the marketing for ROTJ, doesn't suggest that at all. "The Saga Continues"

Seriously though turn the "kid" switch back on go watch the dang movie, and if you don't like then complain about it.

All I'm saying is it awfully convenient that JediPaxis as that much knowledge. Even to the point of knowing what the re-shoots changed? That smells really really fishy. There are no rumors floating around that the leaks were based off the trailer footage, that would be putting the cart before the horse. When AT-AT Chat let some things out he had heard from a friend about TLJ he got visited by Disney lawyers. But nothing seems to be happening to this person? Color me skeptical.Or he/ she (Praxis) is in contact with someone directly tied to the production.
If you Google image search you can find legitimate screen caps from the end of the film, none of which have been released publicly in any trailer footage that align to a T with the leaks from months ago.
Not to mention the fact that if the leaks were based off trailers alone there is no discernable way for anyone to decipher how the random editing of scenes in a trailer would play out to form a narrative as detailed as in Praxis' leaks. Sure you might be able to decode the basic ideas but the details are too specific for it to be anything but a legitimate leak.
Now remember not every single detail is going to be exactly as reported either and the finished film might have some differences because (like any movie) there are going to be multiple cuts. Remember you can only edit existing footage so much so the counter claim that the leaks are all fake is not necessarily an argument against them, but merely the result of leakers reporting on the different edits.
ALL that being said, I think most of the ideas presented sound downright idiotic. There are elements in there that if developed by more talented writers could be great. That's just my take on it. YMMV.
I'll wait until I see the film, and then I'll compare. It could be as Mr Webber suggested, the leaks are intentional in an effort to stave off fan disapproval. By doing this they could judge the fan reaction based on different cuts of the movie and edit it to please as many of them as possible.
It's certainly not out of the email realm of possibility. I could show you (with a spoiler tag) the screen caps I'm referring to if you want but unless you say otherwise, I'll refrain.

From everything I've read on all of it, from the repeated screenings and reshoots and such, they are in full damage control mode and just trying to lessen the blow as much as possible. Who knows, it could be all made up, but given what we've seen in the film so far, it's all gone full train wreckIt could be as Mr Webber suggested, the leaks are intentional in an effort to stave off fan disapproval. Purely out of curiosity... What would you consider some bad films within this genre and what about them makes them "bad", or even just lack luster for you? I'm simply trying to gain an understanding of what the standards you typically use with media are. Has there been any bad StarWars media in your mind for that matter? Be it from the PT's, OT's, ST's, stand alone films, or tv show episodes? What about those didn't you like? I'm not trying to convince you not to like something, just trying to understand what you consider quality media vs crap and whyI'll wait until I see the film, and then I'll compare.
"I don't like people who insult others. They're childish and stupid and probably ugly.
Oops, did I just insult others? Well, it's okay when I do it, because I'm morally superior."
