Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Pre-release)

I watched the whole first season, and I was willing to give it a chance, but a line in one of the last few episodes of the first season made me lose all interest. Freddie Prinze Jr.’s character said something along the lines of “We haven’t killed anyone yet”, meaning they had just been stunning people the whole season.

I lost count of how many stormtroopers, TIE pilots, and general Imperial minions died fiery deaths. I mean, they don't show the actual carnage, but entire Star Destroyers were taken out. Rebel pilots were seen reacting just before their fighters were shot down just like they did in the OT. The violence was VERY much in line with that seen in the films. Folks DEFINITELY died and do die during every one of the series' 4 seasons. I'm a product of the '70s, child of the '80s, and I never saw any deaths on G.I. Joe. Yeah, the animation style takes some getting used to, but the stakes are WAY higher than anything I saw growing up that was made "for kids."

Totally cool if it's not your thing, I'm just saying that if the dealbreaker for you is the level of peril, the show definitely grows up and delivers on that. After the disillusionment of the prequels, Rebels was the first SW media I was excited about since ROTJ, and I was a good 30 years older than their likely target demographic.

Are we still discussing TROS?...

For a franchise called Star Wars, pretending like violence and conflict have no consequences take me outfit the narrative entirely. Plus the animation, designs, and acting were all bad to me to begin with. Too kiddie. But I did like Solo, TLJ (admitting that it has flaws), and the Mandalorian (minus chapter 4).
Season 3 really kicks it up a notch.

Good thing I don’t care about leaks...“The mandalorian carries around a baby Yoda thats 50 years old and puts pieces of ships in his mouth” would sound like a pretty stupid mandalorian leak.

If only TROS leaks were that mundane. They have actually inspired me to go and see it for the lols. That being said, I will be getting a ticket for Cats and just slip in the TROS theater.
I have been really trying to give this movie a chance in the slim hope that it could salvage this trilogy. However after learning about the leaks with the final scene with Rey and Kylo, that was the last straw and I'm officially done with this story. I finally have come to terms that this trilogy is just one big dumpster fire. Months ago I promised to take my daughter to see it but once that's done Disney will not get another cent from me that has anything to do with Star Wars.

With the leaks being confirmed by multiple legitimate sources including the Swedish government and Disney itself, cant wait for their reaction to this thing.
oh no there's going to be an old creepy man that draws the life out of people! Oh that sounds just terrible!.............Actually that sounds freaking awesome!

So if you are wanting to believe just anything said on the Internet. How's this one.

The "leaks" were created by some guy who saw the trailer and teaser footage, so naturally some of the "leaks" seem to be confirmed by what's coming out.

The leaks came out long before the trailers and TV spots were released to the public. The footage actually confirmed them.

As far as questions here are a few. Setting aside the problem I have with the Emperor surviving let's look at some other ideas.

The Contingency Plan: It's not a bad idea in and of itself except for the fact that why would the Emperor wait 30 years to use it rather than at Endor when he still held the galaxy in his power?

The Wayfinders: Why would he create devices that would betray his location? If anything he has the tactical advantage by striking from the unknown regions, no?

The Siphoning Force Power: If he had the ability to do this, why did he not take advantage of it earlier? Why not stay isolated in his secret new base in the unknown regions and siphon life force from all kinds of beings to survive/ grow more powerful, rather than risk drawing a Skywalker to him who could potentially kill him in his weakened state? Did he learn nothing from Vader turning on him 30 years ago?

A friend just got me to buy us some tickets. She said it's OK if it's between years or early January. got tickets for next Sunday in 2d and the were just 3 other reservations. Wow. For TLJ we ordered the tickets 6 weeks before release and went to cinema 2 weeks after release. 3D has to be a private audience for the two or three guys who actually like that crap then.

If the leaks line up with the trailers then and you believe them then I'm sorry for you.

It was leaked that Laurie dies in H2018 because of trailer footage. Guess what she didn't. That trailer also showed the alternate ending and not the one we got.

Forget the trailers and tv spots they mean nothing.

The Contingency is in the event he is "killed". I imagine he's waiting, growing in power. Kinda like Sauron, just chillin' in Morder letting his power grow.

Until we know more about the Wayfinders, but maybe he wants to be found? Or maybe they are ancient Sith relics that simply point the way to where he is, but not him specifically.

We don't know how exactly this works. Typically draining life(in Legends and Canon) required that person to be with a certain vicinity of their victim if not touching them.
