DARTH ANIBAL

I watched the whole first season, and I was willing to give it a chance, but a line in one of the last few episodes of the first season made me lose all interest. Freddie Prinze Jr.’s character said something along the lines of “We haven’t killed anyone yet”, meaning they had just been stunning people the whole season.
I lost count of how many stormtroopers, TIE pilots, and general Imperial minions died fiery deaths. I mean, they don't show the actual carnage, but entire Star Destroyers were taken out. Rebel pilots were seen reacting just before their fighters were shot down just like they did in the OT. The violence was VERY much in line with that seen in the films. Folks DEFINITELY died and do die during every one of the series' 4 seasons. I'm a product of the '70s, child of the '80s, and I never saw any deaths on G.I. Joe. Yeah, the animation style takes some getting used to, but the stakes are WAY higher than anything I saw growing up that was made "for kids."
Totally cool if it's not your thing, I'm just saying that if the dealbreaker for you is the level of peril, the show definitely grows up and delivers on that. After the disillusionment of the prequels, Rebels was the first SW media I was excited about since ROTJ, and I was a good 30 years older than their likely target demographic.
