Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Pre-release)

Yep, I too think EP9's trope will be something like that, balance the dark/light side, kylo/rey coming to an agreement, something along the lines of the grey jedi and all that. Might even do for some interesting plots if they do Ep10-12 or other movies, now that the not so bad-bad guys and not so good-good guys pandora's box has been opened in mainstream entertainment (ever since GoT brought it to the table apparently). Althought I don't think they'll take 10 years real time to decide on what's next. I think that'll be sorted out in the next few weeks/months after EP9 and Mandalorian come out, based on the public's response. Got to turn a profit from those 4 billion LFL costed after all (not that they haven't already...)
Anyway, this:
Balance of the Force
or something similar is now my entry for the EP9 title prediction pool, thank you!:D

No that's Ben(Anakin) telling Rey(Padme) to let the past go. To come with him so that they can create their own order, and rule the galaxy.

No kidding...sheesh.

I took additionally as a veiled comment to the fanbase as well. Doesn't make it true, but you can definitely add that interpretation depending on your POV. It didn't resonate that way until i saw it the second time either. I seriously doubt i'm the only one either.

I remain angry that mysteries remain unanswered by the filmmakers, paramount of which is the question of...

...rivets or screws on all the Skywalker Graflex grips for this trilogy?? What was going on with the glass eye??

My expectations... they remain subverted.

I want to know if they will ever canonize the name Graflex. I think that would be hilarious

If you go back many moons ago, before the dark times, before the Rian, when there was a coherent synopsis and story for the new trilogy starting with EP7, youll find out Rey was to be an incarnation of the Balance of the Force being both good and bad in one Yin Yang being, she had no parents. The "junk traders" were just that. Newborns used to be abandoned often back in the day IRL, my own grandfather was one. He was dumped on a farmers porch, cord still attached and covered in mama juices. It was a diffent world in the 1920's. With Rey picking up the Force and mastering a lightsaber faster than a Nintendo cheat code, its clear as day when those force powers reveal themselves in EP7 her demeanour turns to anger and aggression... she ended up just confused in EP8 even while raising a blade to Luke, but if the Balance of the Force Rey is to come back in EP9, she would not only be the Last Jedi but also the Last Sith. If you swap that order you may well end up with another trilogy, say one set back 1000 or so years, where its more a middle/dark ages setting where the Sith had the Yin Yang Balance of the Force leading the way for the bad guys, whom may or may not have been the original Knights of Ren, it becomes more and more apparent things were set in place with even the most basic back story even if it be one unwritten at the time. It wont surprise me, as ive prior said, if EP9 ends on a form of cliffhanger to be revisited in ten years real time with a new trilogy of EP10-12.

If that is true about your grandfather that’s an amazing story.

The name of the Jedi who created the first lightsaber should be...

Old-scar Steindrinker.

In homage to our GRAND MASTER Oscar Steiner, inventor of the GRAFLEX.

I would also accept Old-scar Steinmaker.

I swear, if they go back to Jakku, that means the entire ST has been one crappy rehash of the OT. This is the epitome of playing it safe. Especially, I'm sure, because TLJ didn't play it safe and the fans hated it.

LFL: "We gave you the OT with new characters! Fun right? Better than the PT, right? You guys like the OT stuff, right? RIGHT?!"

*eye twitches in anxiety*

I may have been disappointed with TLJ, but I, for one, am excited to see how JJ & crew conclude this story. Differences of opinions regarding the creative direction of this trilogy aside, I believe we should respect that those involved have put their heart and souls into bringing these projects to life. It's certainly a privilege to work on something like this and not an easy task!

I have no doubt that those involved are sincerely doing their best. Mark Hamill's performance in The Last Jedi was exceptional and I say that without sarcasm. It wasn't Luke Skywalker in my opinion, but I know he gave it all he had and I admire his talent as an actor and always have.

Maybe I'm dwelling on inconsequential details, but Rey's had the same hairstyle through three films. Leia changed hers. Even Chewie changed his. I'm just sayin'...

or perhaps it's your perception of her hairstyle as having been the exact same that is in error here.

I can assure you--as one who portrays Rey in all of her various outfits in the Legion--she has not "had the same hairstyle through three films".

They are different. variations on a theme? Yes. the same, NO.

NOT the same.

I stand corrected. Kind of like all the Graflex sabers are the same. They're not, but for the casual observer...
