Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

then you should not hate the prequels so much they are just the story of what happened to make the life of your inconsequential farm boy possible .

stop overthinking it and enjoy the PT take your own advice .

like some wise old Sith said on day" evil is a point of view" from my point of view Luke is using evil whenever it is convenient to him.

Anakin was the hero of the galaxy for years in the star wars world he is the last one anybody thought would turn . it would be like Audie Murphy turning into a Nazi in 1944 or something, completely unthinkable but that is what happened in the story.

even ben used that point of view line to Luke I did not lie from a certain point of view Vader did kill Anakin.

my line goes
from my point of view Luke is evil
your line
then you are lost
I accept that.

and I do have to say I don't think Luke is smarter than that . .
Anakin or Luke never struck me as particularly bright they could just use the force cuz of the whole packed with midichlorians you hate so much .

seriously I am out till after the I see the movie every time I mention anything everyone goes crazy .

I really want to ask about what anyone thinks Bobba Fett is doing cuz it looks like a Mandalorian helmet to me in one of the scenes in the trailer but I don't want my house fire bombed lol

Urrgh... there's so much wrong here, I don't even know where to begin...

Are you really this clueless, or are you just trolling me?
Either way, I'm done here.
Thanks for nothing, I guess.

Then stop asking me to explane the same simple concept to you I believe because Luke did not train properly and did not listen to the advice given to him in the small amount of training he did receive he inevatablely fell to the dark side period .

I don't think that luke was evil. But he certainly wasn't trained. In the prequels, jedi were trained from youth, over years.

He had what, a day with obi wan and 3 more with Yoda? I'm pretty sure they skipped a bit.

We had this discussion with you before... I'm surprised you're bringing it up again.

Not saying he WAS evil just he got tricked into using the dark side . according to the Jedi once the fire is lit it will eventually consume you .

Well, the jedi are packed full of hypocrisy.

"Only the sith deal in absolutes"

I can't say that I would side with the dark side, but at least with ashoka

Yeah, the balance, in my point of view si more like : using the "yin and yang" of the Force but not for chaos, for harmony. Harmony is balance between negativity and positivity. You know, being human, for example, is having emotions. Not just the good ones. All emotions are needed to be complete :)

And for that, Anakin brought it, but I guess, QuiGon did too and teached Yoda and Ben to do it too.
But that's my own interpretation ^^

+1. I had hoped that Luke could meet up with Ahsoka in this new trilogy. This was before we knew much about TFA though. I see that they are using her character in Rebels. I haven't been watching that show yet.

I just always thought it could be a cool scene.

You're over thinking it.

Luke would never turn dark. As much as you want that to happen, it never will. Luke's smarter than that.

Amen. And Amen.

it's not so much *what* you say, but how you say it.. and how you *keep* saying it that gets everyone riled up.

I would love it if she were in the new series. Because this was always Anakin's story, it would help continue that idea

I really hope they keep Ahsoka out of the live action movies. That would be the biggest, most fan-service-y thing they could do to this franchise.

And if they were absolutely hell-bent on getting her into live action, please not in 7-9.

no it is what
I simply say I expect to see Luke go dark because of his complete lack of training. and multiple people reply with have you even seen the movies and that is ridiculous . not that they don't think that is going to happen but a resolute that could never happen and how could I even contemplate such a thing ? and derogatory comments about where I am personal attacks that have nothing to do with my opinion . even people "proving me wrong by telling me they read GL contemplating the idea back in the day (so it is not so far fetched as you let on then is it ) as long as I stick with popular opinion everything is great as soon as I have an original idea things go south lol

it reminds me of what the joker told two-face no one cares if a group of solders are killed because that is part of the plan , but just tell everyone one little mayor is going to die and everybody goes crazy. it seems to be true I don't care if everyone on here disagrees with me, I just hate the no your wrong it is a fact because Luke is sacred and that is the end of it . again no one got mad when Anakin turned because we all knew that was part of the well established plan we all knew about for years ahead of time . me I hope the new movie has twists and turns and surprise's not just a safe shove popcorn in your mouth and watch the flashy lights on the screen. I am probably totally wrong it will probably be a safe cookie cutter movie whose only purpose it to make a billion dollars.

NOW

how bout that Poe Dameron huh?

he looks like a wild and crazy guy ...

Spoilers dude?
Some people have this need to spoil other peoples fun - whether it's by full blown spoilers or dropping hints here or there. I think that for some, it's intentional, for some reason they feel superior by knowing thing's others may not - for others, it might just be a subconscious thing...

One thing is clear: we do have a spoiler thread here for those kinds of discussions. Yet, some still like to play the spoiler card... there are plenty of spots on the net to find out just about everything about this movie, so no one is special or entitled because they have this information.

I don’t think people that spoil are trying to be ********. I guess I feel like people want to be able to self-identify with a show and that we live in a culture where we all want to chime in, where we all want to be a part of the conversation, and maybe people who drop spoilers believe that, by identifying themselves with that show, people will gravitate toward them, and social media conversations will be had.

Ya know what? I feel bad for the people that have spoiled this movie for themselves. I know more than I want to, yet I still feel like I'm going in relatively fresh - I'm going to see this movie in a way they will never be able to... a lot like how I saw the original Star Wars trilogy. I'm sure I'll see this movie multiple times, so I'll have the opportunity to see it already spoiled, too.
