If the past rumors about what the new sequel trilogy would be (we're going back like 30 years or so) then these will be about "passing the lightsaber onto a new generation" (Mark Hamill said George asked him what he thought about that scenario circa 1976ish) the Trilogy was supposed to be about that... not just episode 7. I'd expect the original characters to play significant roles at least in 7 and probably 8 and 9. But whoever the lightsaber is being passed to - that is a good question - I like the idea of hit girl - she does have a good acting ability... and she's already been trained to fight, a plus if you're in an action flick

As far as locations - I understand the desire to see new and cool places BUT part of the charm is that while the galaxy focuses on all the hotspots like Curuscant, Alderaan and Corellia - the real story is happening in Bum F' Nowhere... Tatooine, Dagobah, Bespin, a moon of Yavin... I kinda like that motif... and I expect it will continue to some extent.
