I am honestly not sure if I would ever do it again, given a choice... had no idea it would be that painful. One is bad enough but both of them? :wacko horrible, just horrible
I can't imagine having both done at the same time. I recall helping my wife out of bed... I hope to never have to have knee surgery!
and yes, there is only one Chewie... I'm sure when Mayhew heard the news about the new SW films I bet he thought "that's it... I'm doing knee surgery because I want to be in that suit.. no one plays Chewbacca but me!"It will be awesome to see his eyes behind the mask. If you are going to have original cast Peter is a must! I bet he is going through some serious pain right now relearning to walk! Ugh!

Sadly in the time line there about to enter, There is no chewie he is dead for several years. No Anikan Solo also deceased. and Jacen would be roughly around the age he becomes Darth Caedus, Han, Leia, Luke, Lando are old as **** and c3p0 now in his like 80sh year of life is just fine and R2-D2 in his like 90th year is still fine oddly no new robot styles had been invented since the pre Clone wars era. Hence all the mechs still resembling R2-D2 which was a Naboo droid as seen in Episode 1 . I don't know where they plan on going with the next 3 chapters however it should follow suit. Anikan 1-3 Luke 4-6 Ben Skywalker 7-9 f course if we see ben we also have to see his mother Mara Jade. However, this era of cannon is highly detailed over a few series of novels to deviate to far from cannon will upset a lot of SW fans and cost Disney a lot of cash! They lost my faith along time ago when they used a tiff to explain why TCW was canceled, We don't get along with Cartoon network was the basics of it. then ended Detours a few video games that were at release stage.
For what exactly? a child series with a teen leia which im guessing they never figured out that luke/Leia were roughly 18 in ANH so we are getting what a 3 season tv show at most? Adding guest Appearances from the likes of Phineus and Ferb and you have me not watching the show from that announcement forward. can`t wait maybe they can do a revisit episode have Justin timberlake Miley Cyrus and all their other former child stars do cameos too. and if we get really really lucky maybe a Darth Mickey or a Donald Maul appearance. I`m sorry but you do not mess with the galaxy in that way.
Learn from past mistakes 4-6 mega hits 1-3 not so much 4-6 unknown actors 1-3 star actors!

You assume that the EU books/comics/games will bind and constrain the writers of these new films. I rather doubt that will be the case. My bet is that they retcon pretty much all of the EU starting from the Thrawn trilogy up through the NJO and beyond. Those will all be treated as an "alternate universe" or whatever.

A lot of talk of planets we've seen already. Duntooine got blown up, so there's only one planet worth exploring that fans have heard of: Corellia. The birthplace of Han Solo could be a great world to explore. What if they made it a gritty, dark, rainy place like Gotham is portrayed in the new Batman trilogy, vice some happy CG universe? Anything else would just be imagination for imagination sake..."We've given them a sky planet, water planet, ice planet, desert planet, etc...let's explore a 'new' world". I don't care what kind of a world it is. I want to believe it exists.

I wouldn't mind seeing Tatooine again, but that's just me maybe start the movie there... with Boba Fett crawling out of the sarlacc pit.

What was always funny to me is that one of the "talking points" of how terrible the Sarlacc was is how it would slowly digest you over a 1000 years, emphasizing what a horrible, agonizing death it'd be as you were slowly dissolved. However, wouldn't you be dead within a week without any water to drink down there, let alone any food? If it takes the Sarlacc 1000 years to digest anything, you'd be dead of thirst, starvation or even old age long before you started feeling the effects of the Sarlacc's apparently incredibly weak stomach acid. Lol!

Corellia would be cool, i agree. It has been depicted in a couple of the games though i know they're not really beholden to that.
You've got Ord Mandell, too.
Still pissed that alderaan got blown up and only got a whopping 15 second montage in the prequels. And the prequel footage made it look like it was sparsely populated - not a place with 'billions of people'. Not possible for a planet to get a rawer deal than Alderaan

My wife said exactly the same thing! She only had a bone spur filed down on her knee cap and she swore she'd live with it (as they tend to sometimes come back) and never put herself through that hell again! :lol
