I own the Joe Johnston ESB sketchbook for cryin out loud!

I've read somewhere recently that he hasn't had kind things to say about Star Wars. At least not about the revisionist state of SW. I can understand why he'd be miffed...

Hahahha, this a million times. Lucas is only a creative consultant, maybe Joe can stop the revising and move this story along.

I meant it in a positive way, instead of another Prequel-like trilogy, why not listen more to what most of us want, an OT-style trilogy, back to 1983 , back to the "Used-Universe".
The New Trilogy ( you could call it this and put the prequels in Pandora's box), should be a mix between OT quality an EU quality, why is it so hard to get back to the OT type of thinking and stick to a winning formula, Lucas never should have wanted to reinvent the wheel with the PT.

I don't know if "happy" is the right concept, just more or less resigned to the fact.
I'm always up for more SW on the big screen, with the hope and prayer that it'll be good, that is...

I think you hit the nail on the head there. I always wanted more SW, but I pretty much figured "Well, GL said there wont be any more and as stubborn as he is I know there wont be." That's why when a couple people told me that they were making more SW (i was at work when the news broke so i didn't know), I just passed it off as idle gossip that the internet has come to be known for. It wasn't until i got home and read about the sale to Disney on SW.com that I was like, "Wow! Now I'm wishing I hadn't practically called my higher up an idiot for saying otherwise."

John Williams totally called it in an interview for Episode III. He said "[George] says this will be the last movie, but I wouldn't count on it."

Yeah, back in the days of the OT, my expectations were very high for sequels since George himself said there would be sequels. I know there's present-day controversy about it but I very clearly remember GL stating there would be nine movies, that he was beginning the story in the middle. Somewhere around the prequels I guess is when he recanted and said there was no more story to tell. He's now obviously changed his mind, again. :lol And good for us that he has.
I don't know what direction the sequels will ultimately take, and no one does at this point aside from those on the inside. But I think there's rich ground to be covered in doing something from between Ep. III and Ep. IV. That could make for a trilogy all by itself with the Emperor, Vader, and the Empire all in their prime. Fanboy awesome! :cool
