Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Hopefully John Williams will continue to score the movies. I'm actually quite nervous about that, because he rarely stays on for an entire film series, especially after a change in director. Harry Potter, Superman, and Jurassic Park, just to name a few.

P.S. Don't forget to vote today! (content edited due to political nature)

I agree; I doubt Williams will stay on, but am really hoping he does. Though I wasn't a big fan of the prequels as a whole, I did enjoy the soundtracks, particularly AOTC.

Incidentally, I edited out the last part of your post (referencing who you'd recommend voting for). Politics are a no-no, so I'd recommend you edit your post as well. :)

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Kyle Katarn is a good character but I doubt he'd feature prominently in a new film as his story has pretty much been told in the Jedi Knight games?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Why would Williams not come back? There's a difference between Jaws 2 or JP3 and Star Wars, I would think, and obviously he did the prequels. I would think only retirement would be the issue.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Would make a great Kyle Katarn.
Good choice.

They are doing one-off off-shoot movies as well. No reason we can't get to follow some other characters that don't particularly have to come from the 9-set movie series.

Did he not go back to the rest? Or did they simply opt to go another direction?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Because he's getting very old and might be retiring soon? I don't know if it would be lack of interest so much as that isn't he in his 80's now?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

What is this wonderful madness?!?!

I've never seen so many "never gonna happens" suddenly happen. Mind asplode. :wacko

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I think they should have Solo as a retired smuggler living as a corellion nerf herder..Much like Will Muny in Unforgiven.

Definitely "Twilight Zone" sort of material. Clearly monumental developments.

Whatever story arc takes place, if Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford are in it, it will at long, long last be Star Wars again to me. :cool:thumbsup

There is also that... he would be 89 years old when episode 9 comes out.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

so whats to become of the plans for 3d versions of star wars? the rest?

Early this year they said TPM did so well they were accelerating the schedule. AOTC still supposedly early 2013, ROTS mid (augustish) 2013.

Of course, when the 3d changes were announced 7-9 were already 'go'....following the 2 a year model you'd have ANH and ESB in 2014, ROTJ in early 2015 and E7 mid 2015.

If it IS the plan, it'd be an awesome way to build up to the new movies. Makes we wonder that if this was known even earlier and the reason the 3d releases were starting with the prequels WAS to be a big lead in to E7.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

So, do you think the new trilogy will be in IMAX or some other sort of 3D? I mean, thats a no-brainer, right? Almost seems like it would have to be.

I think they should have a scene where he goes into another cantina, but this time everyone moves to the sides of the room to let him pass. :lol

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

...so now the Falcon boarding ramp is actually a handicap ramp??

LOL, in all honesty, I'd like to see Han Solo later in life...but it would REALLY have to be done right or else it would be ruined.

Please don't put Leia in that bikini agian...that would totally ruin the fantasy we've coveted for so long!!!
