Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

WOW!!!!!! Thank you for posting!
no problem! rare I am first to post anything new... still, not sure of the authenticity but they were grouped in with the cockpit photos I saw posted this morning on some Facebook posting about these leaked photos. they seem legit and authentic and look too detailed to be anything other than actual sets in my opinion.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

The trooper sketch looks like an Angry Birds tie in gone too far, I don't believe its genuine anyway. The Falcon interior looks great though and still slightly grungy, which is how it should be.

Mark looks the part too, shades of Old Ben . . . the circle is complete. I still wish they'd made Ep 7 years ago before the gang were this old though.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I think it's kind of fitting the way it is, and I don't think they'll seem "old" once we see them on screen. :)

agreed. in the context of the story and setting they will fit right in and we will once again believe them to be Han, Leia, Luke etc.. I too had reservations about seeing a 72 year old Han Solo but I'm feeling much better about it these days.... The old Indy jokes for Indy 4 went around and while the bulk of the movie plot and action wasn't quite what we wanted Harry himself was still giving it 120% as usual and was still Indiana Jones every step of the way in that movie. JJ Abrams will bring out the best and most real Han Solo and Luke Skywalker we have ever seen in my opinion... even a great actor usually stands upon the shoulders of a great director.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Holy crap, Mark looks AWESOME. Odd that he looks more like Ewan than Hayden...Obi-Wan, you sly dog. I knew Padme couldn't resist your charming ways...

EDIT: SO SO SO SO glad to see the 70s hair make a comeback. The fancy kabuki prequel hair got a bit silly at times.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

If that's a new Stormtrooper it's awful. If you still have the original "Art of Star Wars" book, it looks like one of those drawings made by little kids that they put in the back. Like a 5 year old's version of a Stormtrooper helmet.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

The Falcon pictures just give me goosebumps...Still looks like Abrams and crew are going all out.Damn the story better be great.

My thoughts exactly. It would have been good to see "an" Episode VII sooner after Jedi, but this way I think the characters have had time to develop more fully toward the point of being able to either hand over the torch or go out with a bang. Maybe both. And I think you're right about JJ. Even though I've stated previously I'm not going to fill my glass to overflowing with what may be unreasonable expectations, I am completely optimistic that JJ will get the formula right with these actors/characters. Mark Hamill is a natural in front of a camera; I think it would be hard to make him look bad in any of this, really. Same for Harrison Ford.

Best behind-the-scenes photo I've seen so far. :D

I know! Maybe it's the photo or my eyes, or maybe he's in a bit of between-scenes makeup, but he honestly looks younger with the beard (which I assume is to make him seem older) than he has in the last few years anyway.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Man, that's the best I've seen Mark look in a long time! Welcome back, Luke!

Those Falcon pics are pretty exciting too and I'm glad to see that the Falcon experts give it their blessing! Sounds like the attention to detail has been outstanding so far!

From what I'm reading about that stormtrooper helmet sketch, there are others that also claim to have seen the helmets flat out saying that rendering is wrong. Impossible to know who is right at this point. I remember that early reports claimed the helmet had a Vader-like skirt and something of a thin eye slit. Of course I suppose this could be explained away by people actually seeing different types of troopers and wrongfully thinking they are seeing THE one trooper type seen in the movie.

I also thought he looked quite a bit like Ewan McGregor, but hadn't thought through the connection to Padme and Anakin. Well played! :lol

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

That bed thing, we have already seen it, Lando put Luke in one while he was recovering from the hand chop.

Scratch that, just did some searching and Lukes bed looked nothing like that.

Still very cool looking through.

Precisely.

I sure hope they use the Falcon's quad guns again. A scene like in IV. If they do, I will scream like girls did watching the Beatles!!!
