Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

we can go on for weeks again but there were five or six separate preliminary pilots actually shot. The important word here is "preliminary" meaning never meant to air, cheaper than the cheapest can be budget, it is what it is. I was there for one supplying weapons yet was never once given any sort of NDA, contract or contact/credit information. The others I found out about from numerous people involved that have no knowledge of internet forums. There are some people here on the RPF that were also involved yet did get that paperwork mentioned.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Nice to know they took it that far. I had imagined people sitting around a table with a calculator doing the numbers and then just go "meh, it's too expensive".

My understanding is that never got beyond the stage of completed stories and location scouting.

That's the impression I got too

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

its not as expensive as its made out to be which makes me wonder what exactly did uncle George have planned? I do know ghost writers were sought after and interviewed. Guidelines were discussed with marketing being the #1 rule. If I recall the goal was four separate series, 25 episodes each, total of 100 episodes out of the gate. Its all ancient history now.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I thought all of those were pretty awful. As much as I am uncomfortable with J.J Abrams being in charge at least it's not any of the people who made those posters. Lol.

agreed. all of the fan posters I've seen are badly designed and really awful as far as content goes. and the titles are laughable... but then so was "The Phantom Menace" and "Attack of the Clones" Maybe it should be called Return of the Dark Side Boogaloo We already have Count Dooku so now we can have Countess Boogaloo and Darth Pandemic :p

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Wait. they start filming in MAY of 2014 for a December 2015 release? That seems...ambitious. Doable, but ambitious.
