I'm more familiar with Eno. Who is this 'Shakespeare' you keep talking about? I read the Star Wars trilogy written in the style of old Bill. Is that the same guy?
I agree. Not every planet has to be a completely new look. That kind of thinking is what gave rise to the look of the prequels where each planet was a completely new exercise in design. While I appreciate the amount of creative energy and labor that went into each planet (underwater city, Coruscant, Naboo etc ..) it seemed actually excessive and over-designed. Jakku being somewhat like Tatooine was actually refreshing. It stands to reason that a lot of habitable worlds would have common landscapes... just as the desert of Tunisia can look a lot like the desert in Abu Dabi. And regarding something truly "New".... Just how many climatic weather conditions and vegetation can you create out there? I suppose people are expecting a planet that will go through extreme cold, rain, drought, and swamp at the same time?
Surely Tatooine isn't the only desert planet in the galaxy. You're going to have variances of structures and life that is different from one place to another, but you can't expect every planet is going to have wildly different appearances every single time.
I noticed on my second viewing that young Rey was being held by the arm by Unkar Plutt and you hear his voice. Also after they escape the TIE's Finn compliments Rey on her flying and she said she had no idea how she did it. That really helped and informed her growing strength and understanding of how to access the Force through the rest of the film.
My new favorite laugh out loud line was Finn after escaping the Rathtar says to Rey that the door closed and saved him and she quips "That was lucky" when she was the one who did it.![]()
The problem wit
h this theory is that the dark side is like heroin. You can't be a casual user.
It changes you. It's more seductive.

Being tempted by the dark side is a far cry different than going deep coverThan how does Luke constantly use the dark side . he used his fear and anger to defeat Vader! Yoda even told him only a fully trained Jedi knight could defeat Vader without becoming an agent of evil
(I guess he still could be and maybe that is why he is hiding out) but according to everyone here he just decided not to like he is immune to the dark . I am hoping he does become a grey Jedi which balances the force for good . it is not cannon any more but before the Jedi and what became the lords of the sith broke up they used to practice both light and dark together
I concur, Bryan. That was the best, most organic, laugh line in the movie. Daisy Ridley is a brilliant actress, and I felt myself fall in love with her/Rey in precisely that moment.

Here's what I posted:
Here's the global box office of TFA as of two days ago: $1,161,085,429
Here's the global box office of "The Phantom Menace": $1,027,044,677
"The Phantom Menace" box office adjusted for inflation: $1,463,113,298
TFA actually isn't quite there yet (adjusted for inflation), but it will clearly surpass "The Phantom Menace" by the third weekend.
I have no idea where you're getting third week numbers, since TFA has only been in release thirteen days, and TFA has no release competition beyond, "The Hateful Eight". "The Phantom Menace" was in release for a total of thirty-seven weeks, proving, "clear longevity in theaters." Nothing I posted was "categorically incorrect."
Here's the core issue: I was mistaken posting anything to this thread. I should have read a few pages before joining in, because this is clearly fanboy/fangirl central. Which is fine, do your thing, but it's not a discussion area I'm going to have any interest in. <OUT>
True but he was not just tempted he used it to win that is like using steroids to win the Olympic games then denouncing them so you can accept your medal ( and ignore chewies medal )Being tempted by the dark side is a far cry different than going deep cover

I agreeConsidering how great and well served Chewie is in the film,
I'm surprised you didn't like it more.

He didn't go down the dark path, he stopped at the crossroads. That's the whole "regarding his mechanical hand" moment before he threw down his saber. Had he continued and killed Vader, THAT would imo indicate his giving in to the dark side, much like Anakin when he beheaded Dooku.

Well, my friend, you're surprised because you're assuming I think "Chewie is great and well-served in the film".
I did not, sadly.

Clearly!I just thought Chewie has never been better and given so many great moments, he was a real stand out for me watching it.
