Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Post-release)

I saw luke at the end looking sad or tormented maybe from what went down. Blaming himself for his academy. Being in touch with the force I think he knew what went down in the movie. The Han-Kylo thing and the vision Rey saw when she touched his saber. I'D also hazard a guess that he knew she was coming. He knew the s$&t that went down and now is more tormented than he was when he lost his academy.

Ben

Yeah others have expressed the rey Kenobi theory I would love her to be a relative to old Ben that would be better than the obvious Skywalker link in my opinion . I like her being a great niece better personally. A sister of Ben who saw her brother taken away to study at the edi temple at very young age. grew up had a kid passed the legend and history of the Jedi and the empire and there uncle Kenobi's place in it. Then when they have a child and she starts showing signs of being sensitive to the force they leave her on jakku both for her safety and possibly there own ,maybe they never came back because the knights of Ren killed them in there search for force users and they know the force is strong with the Kenobi's.

The sad truth is I bet she will be Luke's daughter just because for the average movie goer Disney is catering, to for the mass appeal it is the safe bet ! And easiest to explain !

Or it is a saber part that was subsequently repurposed for her staff. :D
No, I'm saying that theory is negated by the fact that she uninstalls the same "Maul emitter" looking piece from the guts of a Star Destroyer. They're just using it as generic catch-all equipment.

Saw it a 4th time today. First three times, the sound was off, at least for the music. Explosions and voices seemed okay. Today, saw it at Regal RPX theater, 40ft screen? Sound was incredible. The opening theme hit like I remembered from the OT. Definitely noticed the score all the way through the movie. It was a relief.

Maybe has been mentioned, but I'm fairly certain at the end, Luke it standing next to a grave. The one rock sort of angled up doesn't seem to be random scatter.

Yep. In the real world it was nothing more than a nod to the Darth Maul fans. In-universe, it could be almost anything.

Regal RPX is where I saw it at the second time and it sounded so much better! I really wonder if there is some sort of audio issue here.

Differences in mixes are cropping up.
In IMAX (real imax, not the AMC simulacrum), the Wilhelm is pretty buried in the mix.

That I would be okay with. I know it's a Star Wars tradition, but I don't need to hear it prominently, haha!

.... I noticed the sound was crap in the theater I first went to as well, saw it in RPX as well as IMAX, it was 10 times a better movie! Never going back to crappy XD again!

... Since we are talking crazy Rey theories, one of my favorite involves that Rey was a clone of Luke. From his severed hand. The other is that she is a reject clone of Anakin. Honestly that seems most plausible. The great pilot skills, the great mechanical skills, strong Force intuit, the uncanny similar looks to Jake Lloyd! Lol! (Had to just throw that one in) ... But honestly I don't know how far Disney wants to go down that prequel hole...

BTW, just saw this today. Probably was already posted somewhere in here in the endless pages, but it deserves another go round... I laughed my *** off when I saw this!... Then I sat in a corner, rocking back and forth, clutching my favorite SW pillow and crying myself to sleep! Lol...

There are mixed reports about TFA vs Jurassic World. Either way, TFA has passed over JW in overall sales; however, it may have also become the top grossing domestic movie of 2015 - another report says that TFA came up $400k short of the 2015 crown. It took JW five months to accumulate its $652.3 million in the US - it's taken TFA 2 weeks to come up with a similar amount.

TFA also took second place from Titanic to become the #2 domestic grossing movie of all time. If the trends continue, TFA should top Avatar's initial box office take this weekend (Avatar had an re-release with an extended cut) - TFA should be reigning US box office champ within the week. Can it hang on to be the first domestic $1 billion dollar movie?

Well, Obi Wan had to take a seat when Alderaan went kablooey and Yoda clutched his chest at the start of Order 66... I imagine Luke got hit pretty hard when the entire Hosnian System went up like a New Year's Eve display...

Ray Ban missed a great Star Wars license opportunity to make Ray Ban Rey Bans.

Disney will make up for it with an azure-tinted image of our female protagonist on the cover of the home video release.

You know... a Blue Rey Blu-Ray

Why is she carrying that stick all the time anyway, does it have any real purpose (space-purse)?

As others have said... self-defense (as those two mooks found out). I imagine it also serves utilitarian purposes, such as creating improptu hand holds when climbing as well as helping with walking along constantly shifting sand dunes.
