I find if funny that when most of us will accept a great character no matter what race or gender, that Lucasfilm/Disney is intent on trying to apparently split the fans by gender.
Lucasfilm seems to have a habit of taking the wrong lesson away from things. KK and even Iger still only cite the recasting of a legacy character as the reason Solo was a box office failure, despite that probably being the least significant reason that movie didn't perform. I'd wager that shooting the movie twice and releasing it between Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 are far bigger reasons it bombed, but what do I know! Rather than acknowledge the reality of their mistakes, they appear to only focus on the wrong thing and vow to never recast a legacy character ever again, which is why we'll get deepfake robot Luke instead of a real human being until the day we die.

So, making a mountain out of a non-gender issue seems like par for the course.

Release schedule doesn’t make a good movie, and I don’t care about their profits. If it had ford in it, I would’ve accepted it.

You basically just supported what KK and Iger said about the reason it failed.
Kinda, but they are concerned with profits so they should’ve released it at a better time, aaaaand had harrison ford involved. My only concern is the latter and decent writing. Even if I agreed with KK and Igers reasoning, they still made poor decisions and the outcome is their responsibility. I can’t keep saying my projects fall flat because of this and that and think people won’t acknowledge a common denominator, they’re my projects.

Not only I'm done with it (and their no-so-subtle-woke-messaging) but also the way Historical/Canon characters have been portrayed:mad::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Seems to me that everyone (including our favorite heroes) are suffering from some kind of mental health breakdown:eek:
BF should've gone to a reputable shrink before, during and after doing anything anymore! Same with Obi-Wan...you're a Jedi and sure, you'll need some more training...but, puh-lease!! Enough with the "Feelings" and on with SOLUTIONS!! Geez Louise:oops::oops::sleep::sleep:

I don't necessarily have a problem with that because our heroes have been through hell, Obi-Wan in particular. My problem is how poorly it was written. It makes absolutely no sense that Obi-Wan, as depressed as he must have been, wouldn't still be training daily to keep his skills up. He's on a mission to protect Luke after all. It made no sense for him to let his skills lapse like that. He was still a Jedi. Similar thing with Luke. I could see if you were depressed that you would be in despair over what happened, but you are still who you are. Luke had a complete flip flop of his character even when told his friends and family are in danger. Real Luke would instantly have said "Where are they, let's go!" TLJ Luke throws his dad's lightsaber and goes and creepily milks an alien to drink...

I don't see why the writers are putting this "real world" stuff in SW:rolleyes::unsure::eek:
This is not the intention of this genre and certainly not what Joseph Campbell wrote in the first place.

The Quest, the reluctant hero, etc...We know, as men; we've a tendency to not voice our feelings.
Why? Because we're in search of a solution! Give me a solution and I'll do the work involved to deal with the problem once and for all.

Same with Obi-Wan: his Padawan turned to the dark side, killed the Younglings and is now Darth Vader.
The Jedi Temple is destroyed, Order 66 has killed numerous knights and the whole is in disarray around the Galaxy...right!
So moping around will solve all of these problems? Nope!!!
Stick to the mission: protect Luke by any means possible, hide from the Empire and stop moaning, it doesn't change things you cannot change:mad:

As my wife said (and she has a PhD in German Philosophy;)): "Let's stop that existential crap!":p:p

Hehe…”Kill Bill combined with Frozen…”

Enjoy, my friends…enjoy.

So, Gina Carano gets fired for speaking the truth but this fake, disgusting, opportunist, weinstein disciple gets her own show? Then you have the sycophants in the audience cheering it all on. How embarrassing.

"Star Wars Celebration"

Yeah. Sure. Keep telling yourselves that, fanboys.

Oh and ”Kill Bill combined with Frozen…” is the most hilariously awful concept for any IP, not just Star Wars.

You also have Pedro Pascal doing multiple interviews talking about his repeated drug use and he's on DISNEY. I don't care what you do in your own house if you're not hurting anyone, but c'mon.

I couldn’t watch the entire 16 minutes of that vid I stopped when I heard “baby Han Solo”

Is the pitch seriously kill bill meets frozen? Or is that a joke?

Star Wars Celebration. Celebrating the 7% of the population that is currently screaming the loudest.
