Can you tell us a little bit about how you are filming the models? The starships?

It has been a hobby of mine, meaning that I have been studying this for a while but have wanted to do something similar....

Okay, I have to say it's been a while since I was hunting for info on this particular fan film, but I was just telling a coworker who was taking a steady cam class recently about it and trying to find the production stills and hit this thread instead. I have to say the work you guys are doing on the props is awesome! I'm completely jealous of the whole idea. But I love some of the things you guys have done so far, especially love the Kamikaze Battalion clone trooper. Brilliant.

Some updates, sorry been busy with real work, had some time this weekend to work on some projects for a scene coming up.

just a little point here.. would kamikaze troops be weathered?? their lives are kamikaze training => nice shiny armour => battle => kamikaze attack => dead ..... next please ... lol just joking very very nice work!

They "kicked the bucket" in a Kamikaze attack, what you see here are
there buckets, all that remains of the dead ones! lol

could also argue that they survived the kamikaze attack by killing all the enemy troops on the field of battle..

The original kamikaze attacks were suicide attacks so not many are going to survive .... (The Kamikaze (神風?, common translation: "divine wind") were suicide attacks by military aviators from the Empire of Japan against Allied naval vessels in the closing stages of the war)
it was a joke about suicide soldiers having nice weathered buckets not a serious point lol
