STAR WARS Rebels new animated series!

It's always disturbing when a Toon is hot. Hearkens back to Wayne's world.
Garth - Did you ever find Bugs Bunny Attractive when he'd put on a dress and play a girl bunny?"
Wayne - "No....Hahahaha...NO!"
Garth - "Neither did I, I was just asking."

They did a great job making her now a Grown Woman in appearance. I Wonder if they used age progression Software, or the animators had been (Again disturbingly) thinking on this for a while. Then again she doesn't have Lara Croft boobs so maybe not.

I'm hoping for at least once a season getting a 1 hour special.

My sons and I watched it, and as corny as it sounds, I actually got goosebumps when Ahsoka showed up. Then to be hit with the next reveal-our jaws dropped. Really, really cool.

So after all that build up and speculation, Ahsoka is now just another cheerleader for Ezra? I get Ezra is the star of the show, but compared to EVERYTHING that Star Wars has been up to this point, he is nothing compared to Ahsoka. She is a character who should not even exist in the Star Wars universe because she's not a female character of royalty AND actually thinks outside the box. She's not waiting for a freaking mail delivery to get off her butt to fight the evil Sith, she's fighting them now!

And Io9's assertion that Ahsoka "is the Obi-Wan Kenobi of the Rebels cast" just paints an even more promising picture, doesn't it? She is going to die, this will motivate Ezra to do something and we'll probably get ghost Ahsoka telling Ezra not only how special he is but how he is the only one who can save the day.

Hasbro would probably push Disney to do this plot development sooner rather than later, because god only knows Hasbro would have a fit if they had to make another female toy.

Loved the season finale and bringing back Snips, great ending to a season that so far has been somewhat disappointing. Here's to hoping Season 2 will open the series up to a much wider range of characters across the rebellion.

I loved the episode. Finally some great stuff.

If there was ONE little complaint I had it's that they didn't land on mustafar. That was a pretty badass moment in the episode before when they mentioned going there and I feel it was wasted

Oh, Jeyl. Jeyl, Jeyl, Jeyl.

I see it like this.

On one hand we have a former Jedi who left the order because being a Jedi didn't work out, survives Order 66, goes into hiding and on her own initiative starts fighting against a galactic empire that's partly being run by her former master. That's a character with more initiative than Obi-Wan (He did nothing for decades till someone called for help) and a lot more care than Yoda (He couldn't care less if Sith were ruling the Galaxy and were murdering innocents by the billions).

On the other hand, we have a carbon copy of Luke Skywalker down to having no parents who joins a ragtag team onboard a freighter who fight the Empire. Also, the Force is strong with him and he wishes to become a Jedi.

Of those two things, it's the carbon copy that proves the most interesting for the show runners to dedicate an entire series around. What else does Ahsoka's scene do other than establishing her character as just mere pawn in Ezra's story?

But the planet itself made for a great backdrop to a burning Star Destroyer.

Also, I wonder if it is one of Vader's Ops points. Maybe that is why Tarkin was able to hook up with Vader so quickly. Maybe even the Emperor. Wouldn't be too off the wall to think they might be inspired by MCQ again...

After all, they did say it was where Jedi go to die. Maybe it's like the Emperor's Camp David (no offense to any of my Commander in Chiefs, past present or future).

True. But mustafar has always been interesting. Even when I was a kid I had heard that anakin and obi wan had their duel on a lava planet. I have no idea where that legend came from. (Bantha tracks?)

There's something about that image that's awesome. I hope they return to it. It's the stuff of legends. Kinda like dagobah

Are you privy to Season 2 scripts? Perhaps we should see what actually happens before rushing to unfounded conclusions.

Did you read the novelizations of Rotj? That's where I first read it. I did some googling to make sure i remembered it correctly:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mustafar

The novelization of Return of the Jedi previously stated that the duel between Vader and Obi-Wan, which resulted in Vader's terrible injuries, happened on a volcanic planet. The battle was stated in some sources predating the prequel trilogy to be on Sullust, also a volcanic world.

Hardly conclusions, but hardly unfounded. I'm just setting expectations for myself so low that anything that comes out cannot possibly disappoint me. I may not like how they treated Ahsoka's reveal, but I'm totally open to the idea that they'll screw it up royally. This is Star Wars we're dealing with here. No female character has ever been a "chosen one" or a self-declared "only hope" for the galaxy.
